Is It ESPN or Comedy Central?
Not sure which is the funniest, but these three headlines gave me a cheap laugh today (the first is on ESPN's home page and the other two are on ESPN's College Football home page):
1. "T.O. concerned teams think he's a troublemaker"
2. "USC players must show home, car compliance"
3. "Caroll says he feels responsible for USC woes"
ESPN has its faults, but sometimes they are o.k.
like Comedy Central......
Tosh.0, Futurama, Colbert, Daily Show, South Park
Sorry for veering off topic, but I just felt like saying how much I love Comedy Central.
Yeah, I love Comedy Central too, especially South Park. Colbert and Daily Show are great too.
Chapelle's Show may have been the funniest thing ever on TV. The Man Show was great and Insomniac with Dave Attell is still my favorite travel show by far.
Brilliant. Maybe the funniest guy ever.
His show was so good. The Wayne Brady sketch was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Glad to see they are starting to show reruns more frequently.
Stay up late, Insomniac! Great show, Attell is as filthy as they come.
I'm not a big fan of the Daily Show, but I'll take the others anyday
Maybe Comedy Central should look into ESPN's writers. If they're this funny without trying, can you imagine how damn funny they would be if they were actually trying to???
ESPN is trying comedy, (not deliberately, but still ...). Comedy Central is sorta "newsy". The cable news outlets are .... uh ....

Sorry. I've got nothing.

Yesterday the mid-day ESPN radio host explained the network's over the top coverage of LeBron by stating ESPN is not much more than a circus. I always thought those guys were clowns, nice to see confirmation from an employee.
Mainly the radio stuff and some of the podcasts, a lot of the members of ESPN acknowledge that the network gets ridiculous at times. I actually enjoy the podcasts more so than the TV broadcasts, It's a looser format with, IMHO, better personalities, and I can listen while doing something else. Personal favorites are Fantasy Focus and Baseball Today.
I agree with you, the podcasts are usually pretty interesting. Even though many people will disagree, I like the college football podcast with Maisel and Cook. Beano definitely rambles some, but he's still an interesting guy with a lot of knowledge about the past. I guess I'm a sucker for old man stories...
In my day, we wore an onion on our belts--as was the style at the time.
I haven't listened to that podcast for a while, but I always enjoyed it. Listening to some of Beano's rambles and odd throat clearing sounds only gets old when they are constantly about Notre Dame. He's one of those buys that everyone bags on (because its so easy) but will be talked about as if he were a saint after he is gone - ala Steinbrenner.
The Herd, SVP and Boom are the only ESPNers I can stand to watch/listen anymore.
The "E" does stand for "entertainment;" at least they're somewhat honest about their intentions.
"Tired Gay succumbs to Dix in 200 meters"
Double Post. Er - When In Rome...
Today on Sportscenter they were doing a segment on Steinbrenner and at the end of the segment they chimed in with LeBron's thoughts via his Twitter page. What a mess of a network.
