If you were negative recruiting against Ohio State today....what would you say?

Great post by Mgrowold, about negative recruiting against Michigan.

So, it got me thinking . . . If you were negative recruiting against Ohio State today....what would you say?  Should be a target-rich environment, no?

I know our coaches are above this.  But we're not.

I would sell my program, be as upfront and honest about depth chart issues, and I would end with something like " wherever you go, make sure that the program is clean.  You don't want to be apologizing for someone else's scandal.  You also want to make sure you don't miss a bowl game your senior year as you pay the price for the part of your team that disregarded the spirit of amateur athletics.

Then I look at the parents and I say "The only promise I ever make to a family is that you will never have to worry about that if your son plays at Michigan."

I guess the awkward part is if I don't coach at Michigan, but am from another midwest school.

We have civilized students and fans, they have students and fans equivalent to the fans of the oakland raiders.

We have toliet paper, they use their hands.

We have fired one head coach since 1937, they have fired every head coach since 1951.

Our students and fans know how to spell, their students and fans have to teach eachother by yelling it and making arm motions.

So basically, we're MICHIGAN and they're ohio.

Did I miss anything?

I'm just glad I know what negative recruiting is now. I used to think it was recruiting with a bad attitude. You know,  when you tried really hard to recruit but the whole time you're just like:

"Man, this sucks. we can't recruit anybody worth a damn. I'm trying to have a positive attitude but geez..."

So that's why I thought Dantonio was a negative recruiter. The more you know...

as the composers for their fight song, along with accompanying choreography, based almost in its entirety on its one hit, ymca should be red flagged immediately or they will more than likely have another Sandusky incident on their hand if such behavior is allowed to go forward in an umimpeded manner. They may be quick to reply about the duration time has been used, but it would be wise to point out at that time how long PSU continued under JoePa when the evidence had been on the table for years Such perverse behavior, and others of similar ilk have brought down empires; football programs do not stand a chance. Their fall is inevitable.
