If you can't say something nice . . . : Freep (not sports) finalist for UM award

Submitted by Blue Vet on April 28th, 2022 at 5:26 PM

The University of Michigan & the Wallace House, a UM affiliate that supports journalism, annually present the Livingston Award. Cary Junior II, a video reporter for the Free Press, is a finalist in the Local Reporting category.

There are 20 finalists, which is obviously a lot, but I'm guessing that even if only one wins, UM/Wallace House want to spread praise for something that rarely gets praised.

Darn titles. I used "finalist" to indicate a reporter for the Free Press, but see it suggests the Free Press overall is a finalist.

Sorry.

EDIT: audio, not video reporter

So really, Cary Junior II is actually Cary Junior Junior?

That said, I just looked up his background and, not that I know anything about this kinda stuff, but he looks like he'd be a worthy recipient (although I'm sure the same could be said about any of the finalists).

Do we know what the content was which distinguished this person for award consideration?

But otherwise, fuck the freep, Rosenberg, and fuck Drew Sharp.
