If a glutton for punishment...watch #6 Illini come back & give Nebraska 26th straight B1G loss
February 12th, 2021 at 10:50 PM ^
NEB up 6. Jumped on MGoBlog to see if anyone was talking about this game. NEB up 2. Seems about right.

The open thread post below wasn't good enough? Granted I just made the second (2nd) comment in the thread.
February 12th, 2021 at 10:57 PM ^
Since we posted at the same time, I am guessing that there was no thread when we starting clacking on our keyboards.
February 12th, 2021 at 10:58 PM ^
Ah. I failed to check the timestamps. You are right. I apologize.
February 12th, 2021 at 10:52 PM ^
lol down 4.
this team got so ugly to watch so suddenly. wow
February 12th, 2021 at 10:53 PM ^
I will never understand how you get Coburn from CockBurn.
February 12th, 2021 at 10:55 PM ^
Rub it hard enough and you'll find out.
February 12th, 2021 at 11:04 PM ^
Illini live and die with Dosunmu and tonight looks like the latter. He has thrown nothing but bricks for the last 5 minutes.
February 13th, 2021 at 11:02 AM ^
He caught fire but that also seems to have coincided with UN's decision not to guard him much.
February 12th, 2021 at 11:13 PM ^
Oh boy ?!
February 12th, 2021 at 11:14 PM ^
It looks like if you want to beat Illinois, you need to be able to score from outside since Cockburn controls the paint.
February 12th, 2021 at 11:14 PM ^
Tie game, Nebraska can hold for the final shot after this time out. We all know what will happen, Illinois wins by eight in overtime...
February 12th, 2021 at 11:14 PM ^
A slow death that you can’t turn away from. Fuckin Huskers.
February 12th, 2021 at 11:15 PM ^
Apparently Nebraska didn’t get the memo about forcing Dosunmu to his left
February 12th, 2021 at 11:17 PM ^
Leave it to the huskers to... not get a shot off
February 12th, 2021 at 11:17 PM ^
Wow. Nice set NU.
February 12th, 2021 at 11:17 PM ^
It must really suck to be a husker fan.
February 12th, 2021 at 11:18 PM ^
that was absolutely one of the worst sets i've ever seen run at the end of a game. cannot be what they drew up.
February 12th, 2021 at 11:18 PM ^
OT is a lock for Illinois. Turning this shit off.
February 12th, 2021 at 11:19 PM ^
As a neutral fan, watching what Ayo gets away with is infuriating. Dude literally drives out of control half the time and gets bailed out by bullshit fouls. Then on that last possession he clear as day fouls the Nebraska player and then nothing.
February 12th, 2021 at 11:33 PM ^
Cockburn just shoving people on every rebound attempt as well.
February 12th, 2021 at 11:44 PM ^
Maybe this is just me, but Ayo and Kofi have this smurk they both play with on the court that really bugs me
February 13th, 2021 at 12:01 PM ^
I dunno. I've hated Illinois since the Kendall Gill days. He who wins last, wins best. https://www.ncaa.com/news/basketball-men/article/2020-05-12/1989-ncaa-t… (check out the video in the article for a Bo/Mo/Lloyd cameo)
February 12th, 2021 at 11:21 PM ^
Well... it looks like we have to do this the hard way. No favors for Michigan. Back to business on Sunday at the Trohl center...
February 12th, 2021 at 11:23 PM ^
McGowens is 5 of 20 for Nebraska, yikes!
February 12th, 2021 at 11:37 PM ^
he was dogshit down the stretch
February 12th, 2021 at 11:25 PM ^
Do you all remember how fun it is to watch UM basketball this year? They play so hard, so well, so focused, so consistent, so fun and energetic. This ugly game looks nothing like what we've been gifted with this year.
February 12th, 2021 at 11:34 PM ^
The nice thing is we are going to be able to watch our team basically play every other night for about four straight weeks!
February 13th, 2021 at 12:26 AM ^
Williams Arena, a.k.a The Barn says ‘Hi’.
February 12th, 2021 at 11:35 PM ^
Illinois’s bball team is better at football plays than their football team
February 12th, 2021 at 11:36 PM ^
Illinois trying to kill my 6 team parlay tonight
Phew. That was too close.
February 12th, 2021 at 11:39 PM ^
Any games left to complete the big win?
February 12th, 2021 at 11:44 PM ^
They were the last! I went with an interesting strategy for 3 nights in a row and I've won all of them. This is all for chump change, don't get me wrong, but it makes for some fun. I took the moneyline on the biggest favorites of the day/night and didn't mess around with spreads. Today I took 6 of them (Murray St., Wright St., Western Kentucky, Liberty, Marshall, and Illinois...the lowest odds being a -625 and highest -2000) and got down to -159 for the parlay. Previous nights were the same concept but I was able to get to +120s on those odds with the group of teams I chose.
February 13th, 2021 at 12:35 AM ^
Congrats, having all of them go your way is worth a celebration!
February 13th, 2021 at 9:54 AM ^
I had to reply to this. I did exactly the same thing except I had a 7-team parlay with Utah Valley, in addition to the 6 teams you had. I did the same thing on Thursday and won as well. I’m betting very small amounts of $ but that Illinois game had me sweating it out. I thought Illinois winning on the ML was the easiest pick of the night going in too.
February 13th, 2021 at 12:07 PM ^
Seriously, how did Illinois be the closest finish!? I will say, I did this Wednesday with Wisconsin and Nebraska and although WI pulled away Nebraska kept it close for a while. I think they're improving, honestly, as a team. Still the basement of the conference but I'm not sure Illinois should have had -1430 @ Nebraksa odds.
February 12th, 2021 at 11:40 PM ^
Holy shit, Nebraska is so bad. Absolutely choked this game away in regulation with a solid lead going into 2 minutes. Hoiberg is not a good coach and we need to stop treating him like he is for his fluke years at ISU
Illinois' whole team is literally Ayo and Kofi. When they leave, Illinois is going to be back to a pedestrian B1G team
