I Hope, Nay, Pray

That the lead picture on the Rivals site means that LB BARKEVIOUS MINGO is coming for an official visit. Please rub some snake oil on that fantastic name. Can someone with a subscription either confirm my joy or crush my hopes?

I'm going to sound really, really white here, but how in the HELL do you make up the name "Barkevious"? Is that a cross between a dog's voice and "devious"?

didnt want him to be made fun of for having the last name Mingo, so they needed to come up w/ a completely ridiculous first name to draw attention away, i mean seriously, Mingo is pretty much an afterthought.

to tell you that Mingo is visiting on 1/9, along with Cameron Gordon, Sam Montgomery, Michael Schofield, Demontre Hurts, Ricky Johnson, and Travante Stallworth. Interestingly, three Louisiana kids.

Johnson and Stallworth are *** WR recruits who are committed to Arkansas and Auburn, respectively. Mingo isn't listing an offer from Michigan, neither are the two receivers.

He has a video posted on ESPN's recruiting site. I watched it about a week ago and was not impressed. He just didn't appear to be very fluid, and I wouldn't expect him to be in any team's rotation for many years. Video is more of a camp video, not actual on-field play.

Barkevious is actually an old testament name. Barkevious brought Judith over the river when Barzelai was sick. Scholars aren't sure what he had, but it seems to have been something like piles. It afflicted all of the Melanchthanites after they at too much bachlevitch with Pelvo. But the fact remains, when Judith needed to cross the river (likely the Tiber), Barzelai was unable, so Barkevious took her on his back and carried her over.
