Fuck. Went out without a text by accident.

What i I meant to ask is—how much of this is to be expected as “growing pains”

make no mistake  michigans offense is a drastic change from before.  Rich rod had a history of terrible year 1s before exploding in year two

penn state with Moorehead looked like we did today when they came to Ann Arbor in year 1

is there any any reason to hope this could be growing pains?  Am I just setting up for continued disappointment

Nah, we just need more live tackling as coach says.  Toughen these young men up.

Yeah we might've injured our starting RB doing that last couple weeks but we need more cowbell... er I mean more live tackling.  We need our QBs to go through more live tackling drills too.

People got all excited when Gattis came over from Alabama and expected similar results but it’s just not going to happen at Michigan.   Alabama is so loaded with elite players that anyone can coach that offense.

Can someone explain what the hell speed in space was supposed to look like?

There has to be transition cost. They look so incompetent !

Rmr how crappy Michigan looked in 2017? That was pep's first year.

At this point just stick with this and try executing it better.

I expected our WR to get open.  I expected Shea to complete passes to those receivers.  I expected our experienced oline to get a hat on someone and block them into next week.

None of  that has happened.  We look like an inept shit show out there.

This is why you play super cupcakes every year ... 2-3 games against the worst teams gives you time to practice against a inferior team, get some reps, build some confidence, pad some stats and enter conference play with some momentum ...

With any new offense there are some growing pains, but what we are seeing is pure ineptitude in nearly every facet. With the talent we have on offense it befuddles me as to how we are so inept.  Literally have 4 WR that will be drafted and multiple good TE’s. We have very good talent on the interior of the offensive line. It is difficult to watch this team because there are so many issues that good coaching easily fixes. Unfortunately it seems like our coaches still think you play the game in a phone booth. Those days are gone, today the best offense you can run is a hybrid. We don’t force the defense to defend the whole field and we hardly ever take what the defense gives us. Very frustrating to watch this unfold as many fans and pundits had Michigan penciled in as a CFP participant. How this team responds over the next few weeks will determine whether they have given up on the coaches or will they start to see some incremental progress?  I certainly hope we see some growth or else I think it’s time to put Jim on a very hot seat

Charles Woodson has enlightened everyone in the nation as to what we should be doing with our secondary playing man to man. Don Brown and co. Should take a damn note from the G.O.A.T.. I love Don Brown and just hope he isn't doing a Rich Rod and trying endlessly to put the square into a circle. Plus we are going to be shredded to pieces up the middle all year. Until the O-Line can step up in a major way against great competition (Sorry Rutger) we are offensively completely doomed for the rest of the year. We had "Touted Experience" coming back on our O-Line, but that doesn't always translate into greatness. Klatt made an excellent point about our O-Line play about it's the worst he's seen since the dark ages last decade. I'm officially sounding my own alarm for the first time. I love you MGOBLOG!

We had so much optimism about our offense and what they saw in practice...but it was because our defense wasn't that great..two negatives didn't make a positive here...

This new OC is a failure.  If he was any good, we'd see something by now.  He needs to be fired or demoted now.  Can't believe we turned the offense over to this wet behind the ears, lightweight, idiot.

Nussmeier was called a desperation hire by Drew Sharp at the time, and it turned out to be correct. I'm afraid the same is true of this new OC.  Never saw such a mess like this.  At least Richrod had an idea what he wanted his offense to do, and the players knew too,  and it showed potency sometimes.  Same with Hoke.  This offense looks like a bunch of drunks at a pick up game.  Get rid of the lightweight OC now.
