How do you want/think the rest of the recruiting class should be filled?

Want vs think is a big difference here. Walter Nolen is the big target that's left, but I think this class will depend more on landing some other targets. Getting Deone Walker and Dillon Tatum to commit is essential, and missing on either of them will be huge. I want to land Nolen, Delp, and Conerly. I think we will land 1. Pettaway is a bit intriguing with PSU and UNC both having highly ranked RB commits, so I'm really hoping we can get back in the running for him.

I'm betting there will be a slew of decommits across all teams, so it'll be interesting to see if any new names pop up on our target lists.

I feel good about the cornerback position with Will Johnson, Kody Jones and Myles Pollard.

I would like to add another EDGE to pair with Mario Eugenio. Maybe Aaron Alexander can fill this role, I don't know the coaching staff's plan for him.

Alessandro Lorenzetti and Connor Jones look like nice prospects on the offensive line, but I would like to add another tackle or guard.

At 5-foot-11, 190 pounds, I think CJ Stokes has the potential to make an impact right away. Him, Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards sounds like an intriguing trio.

Mike DePillo from Clarkston could be an under the radar quarterback to take a chance on, in my opinion. He is only rated as a 2-star prospect by 247Sports and Central Michigan is his only reported offer, but he's a hard runner and has a strong arm downfield. Listed at 6-foot-5, 200 pounds.

Tatum is being recruited as a safety.     Regarding inside LB, seems Spurlock is a plan C for the other two.... and his tape wasn't savory....but this new recruiting staff are ace recruiters across the board save Nua, and one thing I think nobody might be considering at the moment, is that they close out some stars, very late in the cycle, as in, signing day flips.... after all, the prior staff got players on signing day that to us were out of nowhere...so its not far-fetched to think that superior recruiters and closers can flip some late....  I think we will have a very good season, and see some surprise flips.

As of now:

  • WR/RB Dillon Bell
  • OL Mark Nabou
  • DL/OL Deone Walker
  • DL Isaiah Hastings
  • EDGE Joshua Josephs
  • LB Jeremy Patton
  • CB Jahlil Florence
  • S Dillon Tatum

Another name close is DT Kenneth Grant. He could be a good grab especially if we see Walker more as OL. But one more OL, RB, and S would be nice.

Overall the class isn't too impressive, as it leans too far into scouting finds over sales wins. But with so much negativity around the program and our constantly reshuffling recruiting board, this staff is in a tough spot. It is disappointing we haven't been able to pull a few rabbits out of our hat thus far, but there is still time with guys like Conerly and Nolen.
