Help with Mac and Mgoblue videos
I have a Mac iBook G4 and cannot figure out how to play videos from Mgoblue.com. I get a pop-up telling me to install Silverlight. I install Silverlight but that does not help. Any Mac users out there who have experienced the same? Any suggested solutions?

I haven't tried it on my Mac laptop, but it works fine on my Mac Tower (dual intel). I just downloaded it, ran the installer, re-launched Safari, and it worked.
I guess I'd try reinstalling the app, then restarting the machine and seeing if that works.

are you using?
I'm on OS 10.5.8 with Safari 4.0.4 no problems.
I've had the install Silverlight message before (which I loathe), but have probably
restarted/relaunched since.
It might not hurt to clear your Safari cache (after download/installation) then restart, launch Safari (or Firefox) and try it again.

Same OS and version of Safari. Did the things you mention and still no luck. Frustrating....

Go here to get the Silverlight installers:
http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/get-started/install/default.aspx
I downloaded from there on Monday before the press conference and it works fine for me now. I'm using Firefox 3.5.7 with OS 10.5.8

Is it all flash video or just Mgoblue?
Maybe try installing Flip for Mac, it's a plugin for WMV files to play within the browser:

I don't recall having problems with other videos, just Mgoblue really. When I click on the links for the videos I get a blue CBS College Sports pop-up window telling me to install Silverlight, which I have done numerous times. Installing Flip 4 Mac didn't work. I do appreciate the suggestion though.

But you tried a restart after the install? My MBP (10.6.2) hasn't had any problems playing the videos with Silverlight installed. I also have Flip for Mac, which has been useful in general.

Bad news: because you have a Power PC-based Mac (instead of the newer Intel-driven Macs), only Silverlight 1.0 will work. It is likely that certain sites (like MGoBlue) require newer versions of Silverlight (currently at version 3).
