Helmholdt on Wilson's commitment
User markjko.rn posted a link to this in the Jarrod Wilson open thread, and I didn't notice anything from Tim's Hello post about this. Josh Helmholdt, from Rivals, wrote up a short commitment piece on Wilson, as well:

"The kid is rangy, he's smart and since he's been with me every time that ball is thrown in the air, if it's picked off, he's scoring," Buchtel head coach Ricky Powers said.
He is the eighth prospect from the state of Ohio to commit to the Wolverines and the ninth Michigan commitment rated four stars.
Welcome to the fold, Mr. Wilson!
So why not add it there?
perfect comeback, haha.
everything seems to be coming together....just watched the '93 Rose Bowl on BTN....can't wait to get back....I was there in 87 and 89....and I want to go back!!!!
Jarrod, welcome to the family. We wish you every success in your athletic and academic efforts.
glad we could get you out of the worst state ever
all Ohioans aren't tosu fans, just like all Michiganders don't root for MSU (obviously). You can hate the school without hating the state. Have some respect for the guy's home.
It was a joke? Some people need to chillax.
Polish people dumb?
Are all people with <500 MGoPoints flaming troll douchebags?
Your post is between my post and the idiots post, BD.
I trust anyone with a clip-art cat avatar.
No, but you are.
Cool story.
I was waiting for your affirmation of this thread.
Might be a dumb question, but how does LOI work on early enrolles? Can you sign early?
If Jarrod enrolls early, would that make him a member of the 2011 class? Would that also allow Clark the 2012 schollie, should the staff wish to do it in that way?
makes sense - thanks
You don't sign a LOI. A letter of intent means you intend to enroll at school X. If you enroll early, there is no need to sign a letter of INTENT since you've already enrolled.
An early enrollee doesn't sign an LOI, they just enroll. By enrolling in a school and accepting the scholarship, that's enough. You don't need to specify your "intent" if you just do it, basically.
The LOI is only important from when you sign it until you enroll. Hypothetically, a player could skip the LOI part and just enroll at the school he chooses in the fall. However, if you don't sign the LOI, you have the freedom to choose anywhere, but the school you want has the freedom to fill your spot since they don't know if they can count on you. With the exception of the shady schools, your LOI secures your spot in the class. If the school will go as far as letting you enroll and paying for your classes, that's as secure as it gets.
A. Really jacked about Wilson's commitment, we havent had that ball hawking safety for a minute now.
2. I dislike Ohio, that includes Ohioans. No sympathy for those who reside there.
D. Polska stand up!!! And no were not all stupid, screw the dude who said that, punk.
GO BLUE!
you don't like Jarrod Wilson, because he's an Ohioan. Additionally, you have no sympathy for Ricky Powers, because he resides there. Can I escape your disdain due to documentable non-residence in Ohio for over a decade?
I don't know if you were all stupid, but you certainly seem to be now.
That is a stupid interpretation!
A !!!!!!!!! I love the turning of the tide !!!!!
