Headbutt? Wherefore art thou, ejection?
Apologies if this should go into one of the Snowflake threads but holy crap...
How was this guy not ejected? Walked 5+ feet across sideline in front of an official and head butts a dude?
My wife is an OSU fan (sadly), and even she couldn't believe he wasn't kicked out.
Sorry i couldn't figure out the embed from mobile quickly.

Same thought. Interestingly, it happened at about the same point in the game as the one guy ripping Roman Wilson's helmet off last year. It shows you that we've been getting in their heads.

Been getting in their asses too

Lmao, hmmm, I think there are a few contexts/times-in-history where this statement goes off without a hitch, and this seems to not be one of them.

He WAS ejected... by Day. It was worth it just to see Day's reaction.
November 26th, 2022 at 5:45 PM ^
I did not see Day’s reaction. Could I trouble you for a link?
November 26th, 2022 at 5:56 PM ^
The camera’s caught Day on the sidelines right after the flag. With an angry look on his face (maybe the same as most of the game 😁) you could lip read a little “get him outta here” while he motioned his thumb over his shoulder.
Interesting point: when they called the PF on 88, one of the announcers said “there is no 88, it’s on 18”. Made me think 88 was way down on the depth chart and could so easily get tossed to the showers.

They replayed it, Day pointed with his index finger at a guy on the field, then pointed with his thumb over his shoulder, in an almost exaggerated fashion. That guy! Get him out of here.

I could care less what the hairclub President King of the Cherubs thinks or does about the situation.
The REFEREES should have taken care of the situation.

Wait, wherefore means “why” in Shakespeare right?
November 26th, 2022 at 5:39 PM ^
Yes indeed. If high school/UM Shakespeare knowledge serves, "Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo" = "Romeo, why must you be Romeo?" = "Why must the person I have fallen in love with be this particular person from our opposing blood feud family?" Like falling for an OSU girl/guy.

Niiiice. A modest and polite correction of the mistake AND then tying it into the poster being married to an OSU fan.

I see what you did there...
Thankfully, there are no issues in her tunnel... lol

No wherefore predates why, wherefore dost thine hubris ariseth?
November 26th, 2022 at 6:00 PM ^
Yes - it roots of Danish where “hvor” = “where” and “hvorfor” = “why”
November 26th, 2022 at 6:15 PM ^
aye, forsooth... but tis "Elizabethan," thankee
November 26th, 2022 at 5:35 PM ^
That was insane. RIGHT in front of an official. We were surprised he wasn’t ejected too, but how stupid can you be?? Sheesh.
November 26th, 2022 at 5:35 PM ^
Honestly the officials overall were actually decent but not ejecting a guy for headbutting, ruling Bell in bounds and the late Stroud play that was clearly a fumble and had no business being blown dead were all baffling. But eh at least overall they called the obvious stuff that I am sure the 2016 team is saying where the hell were those calls for us.
November 26th, 2022 at 5:53 PM ^
I was SHOCKED by the fair whistle.
Was texting with a friend when the Stroud uncalled fumble happened, my comment was, "in previous years that would have spelled doom for us."
Got the ball back on the next play. His response was "ball don't lie."
November 26th, 2022 at 10:38 PM ^
They even gave us the timeout back after they screwed up! This would never have happened.
The DPI on Bell was nice too. I think only tacopants would’ve caught that but we’ll take it.
November 26th, 2022 at 5:37 PM ^
Where art thou?
"Wherefore" means "why".
They did flag him for unsportsmanlike conduct. Is that enough? I don't know.
November 26th, 2022 at 5:42 PM ^
You do know, but you are afraid to admit it.
November 26th, 2022 at 5:37 PM ^
I thought the same thing because if that same hit happens in a game, it's targeting.
November 26th, 2022 at 5:43 PM ^
Only thing that makes sense is a headbutt exception to the targeting rule. Which seems crazy, but that took place right in front of the official and they didn’t even talk about it.

Osu had a brain explosion - Michigan complex is growing!
November 26th, 2022 at 6:06 PM ^
Or the player trying to fight the entire sideline, and mistakenly shoving the ref trying to intervene. 2 ejections were warranted, IMHO, but I'm glad the refs at least weren't celebrating with the Buckeyes on the field this year.

Having a wife that is an OSU fan as a Michigan fan should be a p*rn genre.
November 26th, 2022 at 7:47 PM ^
