you didn't look hard enough.

Because there was no touchdown?
September 12th, 2011 at 1:25 AM ^
a muffed kick, ball dead where Michigan recovered the ball, the 14 yard line. There was no return. There was no fumble.

for a detailed response. Don't agree with the muff call, but at least Everitt was in the shot.

The point; you've missed it.

I love it.

Shouldn't that be "SIAD"?

that needs explanation. When I got home from the game, I saw a replay of the Roundtree TD where Hoke appeared to be grabbing Gardner it looked like by the jersey and saying something. Has anyone heard anything about this? It seemed to be a "don't do that again" type talk almost.

He probably ran onto the field in excitement due to the catch. Hoke doesn't want any celebration penalties getting called.
September 12th, 2011 at 1:54 AM ^
Gardner left the bench to join in the celebration, which is a no no and could have been a penalty.
Hoke is clearly a detail guy and was not pleased.

to me too. I'm a little surprised nobody had made any mention of it in the least though.
September 12th, 2011 at 2:47 AM ^
It's been mentioned, but no one knows the answer to the question so the conversations stop after the OP.

.....and not from where I was sitting, it's ours at the 14. I see what everyone is talking about now. Helps to have the details.

Was the favorite an lost, it had no impact on the spread. Had Michigan been a 5 point favorite, the refs would have reviewed it.

What was the over / under - Vegas could have wanted to know as well....
The rule would be either 1) Michigan TD if we crossed the the goal line, or 2) a fumble through the endzone is a touchback and ND ball on their 20.
Either way game over, Meeeechigan wins!
Go Blue!

The rule in NCAA is that the kicking team cannot advance a muffed kick, where a muff is defined as a failed attempt to catch the kicked ball. The ball is dead where we recovered; game over.
