Sort of old news but since OSU hasn't offered and is looking at Nick Montana of Cali, Gardner -- in a rash move if you ask me -- has removed OSU on his list. With the way recruiting has gone, don't be surprised if somewhere down the line OSU pops back up and makes nice nice with Gardner. Fickleness is the name of the game with recruiting. As for the article, I wouldn't be surrpised, yet again, to see a rehash of commit and decommit with QBs this recruiting cycle with Michigan. One of these kids will verbal early to secure their spot, imho. And then might waiver as other schools start to take interest. We'll see.

I talked to him about it, because it seemed out of the blue. He said his coach talked to the OSU coaches, and they told him about Nick Montana. Devin basically said he's not going to consider someone that says he's their second option. Which I agree with. I asked him if this was for good, or for now. He said for good.

Good scoop. Still could change, but it sounds like we have one large impediment out of our way on the way to landing the top instate guy again. And again, in a position of need...gotta love that.

An OSU friend of mine who follows OSU recruiting very closely says that they're putting all their eggs in the basket of getting Montana. Tressell knows Joe Montana through their mutual connection to former 49ers owner Eddie DeBartolo (of Youngstown). Sounds like OSU is hoping for a Montana commit soon.

that are currently out for QB's plus the kid from Georgia who was offered the other day (name escapes me). So while Malik may be in the mix down the line, he currently does not have an offer.
