Harbaugh will have a PB&J

Kind of a funny story about Jim asking for a PB&J from David Cutcliffe's wife during a film session with Payton Manning during his time with the 49ers.

Could definitely see Harbaugh doing this, which is part of what I actually enjoy about him. Payton tells the quick story in the link below.

I've been watching the Peyton/Eli broadcast and its been pretty good.  It started off a little weird with a gimmick or 2 in the first quarter but they've calmed it down and focused on the game.  They're more focused on the X's and O's than your typical crew.  I also like some of the conversations they've had with their guests.  Namely, when Ray Lewis came on during the 2nd quarter and talked to the guys about how Eli had a 0.0 QB rating in his first start against the Ravens and how Peyton always had a difficult time figuring out what they were doing on defense.  Peyton's was especially interesting because Ray explained that he and Ed Reed would basically change whatever they had planned a few seconds before the snap to fuck with Peyton's head.  Ray also explained how their defense was fluid and players on different sides of the formation could flip responsibilities before the snap.  Peyton was like YES THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE NOW!  Really cool to see that interaction.

A couple more neat little things during the broadcast:

As soon as Travis Kelce came on midway through the 3rd quarter, Eli asked him point-blank, does he make up his routes as he goes?  Kelce immediately confirmed it and it was kind of funny how validated Eli felt for figuring it out.  Kelce said that he has a lot of freedom during the play and that he has a good enough relationship with Mahomes to where they know what each other is planning.  He described the Chiefs offense as "controlled chaos" because he doesn't want to affect someone else's route with his improvisation.

Russell Wilson was pretty interesting to listen to as well.  He came on midway through the 4th quarter and he helped the guys break down what was going on during the game.  Excellent insight from all three of them to end the game.  Very cool.

Overall I'd say the broadcast was pretty good with some things they can improve on, especially those gimmicks they quickly abandoned early in the first quarter.  I'd expect them to become more polished as the season progresses and this will be my preferred way to watch MNF by season's end, if not already.

I said in another thread that Urban Meyer likely has Narcissistic Personality disorder and should probably be an interesting psychological study…..

From hearing this story and Harbaugh’s other antics and his seemingly being a total weirdo next to his very polished and likable brother, John….I have to wonder if a psychological study on Harbaugh would show he has some low functioning form of asbergers or autism, or be considered “high tone”?

Seriously, such a strangely quirky and likable guy, that likely drives people crazy at times.

"Seriously, such a strangely quirky and likable guy, that likely drives people crazy at times."

The dominant narrative around here before the start of the season was that people were sick and tired of the tree-climbing weirdo who hasn't achieved anything at Michigan, but after a couple of victories everybody's back to loving the guy who has somewhat atypical sandwich requests.

I think you might be a couple seasons behind.   Harbaugh has been more vanilla for the last two years and everyone has been wondering WTF happened to the quirky weird guy that had fire in his belly......

I think more of us have been asking him to stop the meds, or whatever it was that toned him way down, and come back.
