Harbaugh vs Franklin subplot next week

Submitted by Magga Saraivah on October 12th, 2019 at 4:27 PM

Next week's game will will determine the winningest (active) Big Ten coach since Harbaugh's arrival in 2015. Many on this board have called for Harbaugh's firing but the reality is he has been pretty good overall (other than being owned by Meyer - like most every other coach in the Big Ten).

GO BLUE !!! BEAT JAMES FRANKLIN & THE JOE PA APOLOGISTS !

Record since 2015:

Jim Harbaugh     43-15

James Franklin   43-15

Kirk Ferentz        41-17

Mark Dantonio    36-22

Pat Fitrzgerald     37-21

p.s. Urban Meyer went 45-5 (2015-2018)

I'm thoroughly unimpressed with Harbaugh but let's be honest: there is a real whiff of illegitimacy to Franklin's Big Ten title.

Their '16 win over OSU was ass-backwards lucky. Then they needed Michigan to choke their ass off vs. Iowa AND have that shady UM-OSU game to break the right way to get to Indy. And then when there, they faced Wisconsin's backup QB.

Even as someone who hates fans talking about "luck", that was REAL lucky. Franklin and Harbaugh are both buffoons.

As illegitimate as you'd like to believe it was, one of those buffoons has a conference title. Winning is winning, I'm sure we wouldn't be hearing about that "illegitimacy" if Michigan had one that title. A "lucky" win over OSU... haha yea i'll take that.

Did "most every other Big Ten coach" ever enter against Meyer as a 4-point favorite and give up 62 points?

This has got to be the dumbest thread ever. Who gives a fuck about wins since 2015?? Kirk ferentz is the winningest head coach in the big ten and ryan day has the best win percentage.
