He should have signed up for a Downy Fabric Softener commercial instead. He, the coaches and team have a ton of recent experience of being soft.

I thought it was funny.

I'm confused...what's not a good look?
I'm pretty sure they didn't shoot this commercial over the bye week.

Well, that behind-the-scenes footage of him being presented the pair of khakis by the kid in the commercial leaked this week, and looks to be from another variation of the ad that (to my eye) didn't air today. So it may very well have been during the bye week?

It’s a bad look because this commercial aired when Michigan was down 28-0 and looked completely unprepared. Hey, Coach, stop trying to sell me fucking laundry detergent and mind your team. And then Harbaugh says in his post game presser that his team, the football team that is his primary responsibility, was out-coached, out-prepared and out-performed...thoroughly. Well, it’s a good thing you were trying to sell me fucking laundry detergent during the game.

Its softener not detergent

Dumb......so guy spends couple random hours at most shooting a commercial god knows when and people are going to question how work ethic and time commitments. Why not check his sleep schedule too? Heard he got a haircut one day last week and spent time at his daughter's school, oh yeah he checked out a recruits hs game as well, the nerve of this man.

It's not a good look for Downy that they gave a national ad spot to a middle of the pack Big Ten coach.

He should do a charmin toilet paper commercial - this team is charmin soft.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, STATEMENT FROM P&G
During Saturday's Michigan-Wisconsin game we aired a commercial in which Coach Harbaugh wears khakis that are intended to be kept wrinkle-free due to his usage of Downy WrinkleGuard Liquid Fabric Conditioner.
During this commercial, the actor portraying a college student responsible for keeping Coach Harbaugh's clothes wrinkle-free made a statement that Coach Harbaugh would be "ready for Saturday."
We apologize for this error. In no way did we mean for this commercial to imply that a college student was stating that Coach Harbaugh, would in fact, be prepared, or have his team properly prepared for, the football game against Wisconsin this Saturday. Our intent of this advertisement was to inform our audience of the breakthrough in-wear wrinkle-fighting formula of Downy WrinkleGuard Fabric Conditioner, that allows you to wear your clothes with confidence. We can understand how some may take offense to the student's statement that Coach Harbaugh "will be ready for Saturday" given the dismantling his team experienced on Saturday. Appropriate remedial action has been taken with the writers who wrote such an ambiguous line, and we consider this matter as closed as the Michigan playbook was for the first three quarters. Please continue to use Downy's patented liquid formula that helps keep creases from cramping your style while still providing all the fabric protection and softening benefits of the original Downy you know and love (and a fresh, clean scent).

Sideshow Jim. He needs to focus on football. Not on khakis or while milk. Not on his podcast. Not on oversees trips to Rome, Paris and South Africa. Not on being a complete dolt with the media. His press conferences suck, he alienates all the reporters, and as a result, they all want to see him fail, and it all adds to the pressure cooker that would exist even without these added distractions. Seriously, why doesn’t he do on field interviews at halftime like every other coach in college and professional sports? It must take a lot of energy to deal with the sports media in such an unconventional way. Please — just focus on football and game planning.

There’s something in the water in the state of Michigan that causes us to have shitty coaches who then act like assholes to the media . Brad Ausmus , Caldwell , Patricia , Harbaugh , etc .

You want him to do interviews but want him to focus on game planning and football. So which one is it?

I thought it was hilariously ironic when it played the first time while UM was down 28-0.
In a pathetic sort of way ofcourse.

At least the 3rd time this has been posted.

Only bad because of the timing in which it appears. Lends credence to the argument he isn't focused on the job, along with the international excursions, etc.
He should've capitalized on the khaki thing three years ago. Now it just seems obtuse

Come on, this is goddamn stupid to bitch about a commercial. Nick Saban did a commercial with that goddamn insurance duck, and nobody gives a shit. If Michigan won today you would think the ad was hilarious. We got our asses kicked, it sucks, but the the commercial had nothing to do with it.

Talk about a bad business decision by Downy.
And by Michigan.

The wrinkles remained throughout the game......

Face it, He's not a top tier coach. It's time for him to rise off into the sunset.
