Great Article On Dave Brandon and His Granddaughter
We just had our first grandchild...I understand fully what DB feels. I am personally delighted that things turned out so well for his granddaughter.
Mott and all of the other Childrens' hospitals nationwide do great things for the little people we love, and these institutions deserve our unending support.
FWIW, my grandson's first piece of clothing on this earth was a little Michigan hat with Go Blue written all over it.
Had no idea our fearless leader was going on 61/had grandkids. He looks far too young. Excellent read.
This article doesn't fit the narrative.
Let's complain about jerseys and money instead.
You forgot mascots, "rawk musik" and ads.
I read it as "grand daughter," as if to say that his daughter is just super.
""You say goodbye to her, they wheel her off, and it's the most helpless feeling in the world," Dave Brandon said. "Dr. Bove came out after the surgery and looked at me and said it went perfect. I asked if she's going to have any limitations, he said, 'If she wants to run cross country for the University of Michigan, she'll be able to do it.' Those were the best words I've ever heard."
This is the part that got to me a little. Very touching story indeed, and thanks for sharing this.
As bluebyyou said, hospitals like Mott provide an invaluable service and should get endless praise for helping to make sure the lives of the next generation are healthy, long lives.
What a great story. Ileana sounds like a real trooper.
That's a nice article on Dave Brandon. It's great to see he understands that being a great father and grandfather is a much more important job than any professional one.
Thanks for sharing, OP.
