So there's two grave walks now? At some point aren't you just stomping on graves?
November 23rd, 2021 at 1:01 PM ^
We are meeting as usual at 6pm at Burton Tower. Slightly different than usual...no smashing of nuts, some may bring flowers but mostly it will just be a simple solemn walk. All three graves will be visited and people may participate in whatever they wish. If you feel differently than others attending about any portions please be respectful. Bring your favorite cigar if that's your persuasion.

Why no smashing nuts?

Saving that for Noon Saturday

Would be wild if the Anderson survivors/victims show up.
November 23rd, 2021 at 1:38 PM ^
Wouldn't bother me. It blows my mind that anyone wants to honor Bo tonight.

I will be frank (I know, shocking for me) - I don't know how anyone could engage in this particular tradition now and look at themselves in the mirror, given what is now out there.

You think it's morally wrong to leave roses at Ufer's grave?
November 23rd, 2021 at 2:47 PM ^
No, but we do think it’s fuckin weird. I love Ufer and think of him fondly but a “grave walk” is existentially not my idea of a fun tradition. What’s the etiquette for a grave walk anyway? A bottle of wine and some poetry?
November 23rd, 2021 at 3:10 PM ^
I'm curious who started this recent tradition. Family members, a frat, free masons? It is weird and almost sounds a bit culty.
November 23rd, 2021 at 6:52 PM ^
Well said. Creeps me the hell out Didn't this start during the Hoke era?
November 23rd, 2021 at 1:49 PM ^
Not to be a downer, but does this tradition strike anyone else as really odd, even before the Dr. Anderson stuff?
November 23rd, 2021 at 3:29 PM ^
Nothing I’d rather do than solemnly walk around a cemetery at night. Sounds like a blast.
November 23rd, 2021 at 2:08 PM ^
This grave walk needs to be buried as well.
November 23rd, 2021 at 2:38 PM ^
Same OP posted yesterday and Benvom even commented in it. So curious, are you that excited about the Grave Walk or is there some other reason for the duplicate post?
November 23rd, 2021 at 2:44 PM ^
I'll be honest. I didn't give a shit about the Grave Walk yesterday. But now, two posts later.... I'm fucking pumped!
Considering making a third post... Grave Walk Pos Bang. Then, of course, the essential Grave Walk walk thread. Maybe some Grave Walk snowflakes after another successful Grave Walk.
Orrrrr... and maybe just hear me out, the three people who appear to be interested in this, could just text each other.

I'm literally starting a Grave Walk drinking thread tonight. You're a genious!

grave walk UFR, coming right up!
November 23rd, 2021 at 2:46 PM ^
Not gonna lie, the grave walk tradition hasn't yielded great results over the past 2 decades. Maybe switch it up and not do it.
November 23rd, 2021 at 3:14 PM ^
Maybe a Ouija board talk with the dead new tradition? Nothing gets me more fired up for a game than dead people.
November 23rd, 2021 at 3:56 PM ^
We could have everyone line up and take a look at the Scotsman With Nae Trews. As you know, this exhibit would be entirely supported by voluntary contributions.
November 23rd, 2021 at 2:46 PM ^
FUCK YEAH LETS GO GRAVE WALK!!!!
November 23rd, 2021 at 4:42 PM ^
there will be the sweet smell of reefer in the air, that's the only possible excuse for such an event to be a thing

Oof the guy running it acted like nothing happened with Bo and called him a hero. It was pretty disgusting to watch. Other than that, it was a nice gathering.
