"Get a life" - RR
Well, this probably won't go down well with any of our fanbase and alum but I tend to agree.

Also, I wonder if RR reads mgoblog.

If he does, he should give us a shout-out as one of the few places that can actually keep a level-head about our concerns, criticisms and complaints all the while remaining (hopelessly?) optimistic.
Actually on second thought, that would probably attract more sludge from the dredges of the Internet. Cancel that.

Thank you ESPN for that

complete non-story

also brought it up yesterday. Of course the AA News isn't even covering it, so basically, yeah, it's a non-story.
Besides, I agree with him. Most people are choosing to ignore the context of his comment. He said something about people attacking his personal life. He's right! If you think he's not a good coach that's one thing, but when people attack you as a person along with your family, that's just WRAWNG!

Pat Forde continues to be completely devoid of logic, reasonable thought, and simple motor skills.

"It's amazing some of the things that people would say [on a message board] or yell at you of a personal nature," Rodriguez said Monday. "You almost want to tell them, 'Get a life.'
You should post the relevant quote next time.

he also had this to say to about last years team
“I watched last year’s game and we got 5 NFL players on offense and we got less than 100 yards against them. And we have to go and compete? That’s a daunting challenge.”
how many excuses is this guy gonna make

It's setting expectations, not making excuses. Excuses are after the fact.

Yes, and your picture/avatar doesn't exactly scream credibility, drewsharp64. I bet this guy is a WVU fan.

I'm pretty sure it's a joke - like the person is posting as Drew Sharp, and, thus, being excessively negative.
November 18th, 2008 at 7:15 PM ^
It's like, not funny, and it's not parody. Funny would be over the top parody every once in a while.
November 18th, 2008 at 7:21 PM ^
it isn't funny doesn't mean it isn't a joke.
November 18th, 2008 at 7:33 PM ^
I kind of meant we should just ignore it.

I'm a big fan of the Buckeyes; but RR sounds like he is giving up before game plan even begins, unfortunately for the Mich fans, this is only the first of a multi-year contract

I, for one, am shocked. You're a Bucknut?
November 18th, 2008 at 7:37 PM ^
hey i joined yesterday. i was forced to because, like i said then, i was sick of all the rr apologists.

The vortex of negativity MUST STOP. Now.
While we're all waiting for someone to pinch us and wake up to the morning of August 29th--and realize that this entire season has been a horrific nightmare-- the team is going on, with or without us.
We have NEVER had to endure such a pessimistic, relentless buffet of disappointment during a Michigan season before, but what can we do about it? Do you come here for more negativity? I sure don't... I think the games have given me more than enough, thank you very much.
But either way-- SATURDAY iS THE LAST GAME OF THE SEASON. Will we lose? Most likely yes. But what we have to do as the MgoBlog Community is circle the damn wagons!
I guess what I'm trying to say is-- LOSE THE NEGATIVITY!!! We're all unhappy, and frustrated, and worried about the end of the world! GO BLUE
AND Brian needs to get the damn Buckeyes outta here NOW

I was wearing a Michigan Hockey t-shirt at the gym yesterday and a guy I didn't know brought up the "Get a life" comment. I tried to explain it to him, but he still insisted that Rodriguez was being a jerk by telling his own fans to "get a life."
I hate it when non-Michigan fans try to tell me stuff about Michigan football. I went to U of M. You went to Dayton. I think I know a bit more about UM football than you...
