Game Thread: Men’s basketball at Penn State - noon EST, BTN
The men’s hoops team returns to the hard court against PSU at noon EST with a broadcast on BTN.
Both teams are in the. Middle of the Pack in the B1G.
Any realistic chance for an NCAA bid, probably means this is a must win game.
Hopefully - the hoops squad can do what the hockey team did earlier this weekend - without a five minute major.

One thing I'll give this year's squad is, they have responded really well to tough losses.
- After the CMU game, we absolutely trounced Maryland
- Following that OT collapse against Iowa, we came back to beat a really tough Northwestern team.
Let's keep that going today fellas. I still think making the tourney is going to require some serious March magic but at a minimum, let's put ourselves in the conversation!

We are working twice as hard on offense as PSU. Their defense looks much more solid than ours. They've started defending the arc.

This is a hot take, but M and Hunter need to move on. He’s a net negative on defense and now his offense has been figured out. Also shows no leadership qualities and instead talks insane amount of shit that he doesn’t back up on crappy podcasts.

Tarris will replace him pretty easily next year if he keeps developing and cuts down on the fouls - aka stops being a freshman.
Only bad mark will be his free throw shooting and 3 pointers which would be offset by his more imposing stature in the paint.
