Merry Christmas, everyone.
Tennessee is not recruiting well just because they got 18 dudes
Merry Christmas, everyone.
It truly is the most wonderful time of the year!!
I just got off work, so it's a "goodnight game day" for me. I have my alarm set for 2 (central time) though. I'm so fucking ready to watch them destroy the Chips!!
I only have 12 guaranteed opportunities to wake up on a college football Saturday.
To work at the free clinic in Detroit this morning. So while you guys are putting back beers, I'll be taking vitals. Just remember that I'm a better human than you or something like that...
Only for the time you are volunteering there though :)
You are a better person than me. When pos bangs return mark yourself down for multiple pluses.
Hey, I've got an idea to help you out: why don't you put back some beers while taking vitals? What could possibly go wrong?
I'm here to help. That's what I do. It makes me an even better person than you.
pounding some cold ones while in the middle of a life or death situaish, you guys
You might have had a case if you weren't to tell us. Now you just seem self-righteous.
Jill just asked me to confirm that you requested the Chicken Avocado bake for the tailgate next week. You still planning on coming over? If so drop me a line so I can email you where we're at (we seem to get moved every year). [email protected]
quit your whining tho' it's only a few hours. will raise a fork while eating breakfast in downtown plymouth
ps still in the basement of the church on Cass?
Now, for a cheer, they are here triumphant.
It's the most wonderful time of the year....
I'm dreading the game today. At the first sign of trouble I'll be back here posting "UNACCEPTABLE!"
Well, after I clear the storm damage out of my back yard (multiple limbs down from last night's thunderstorms, including one sitting right on my house electrice service), I will have the pancakes, but the other things are in some state of completion right now. I've only been up about 45 minutes now, so to have blared "The Victors" and had beer in that space underscores the excitement.
Now that I think about it, how about beer and an omelette? Those may pair well together.
Happy Game Day, folks. Go Blue!
I couldn't have picked a better weekend to have my wisdom teeth taken out.
Quad espresso, Costa Rican Tarrazu, moderate acidity and caffeine combine with a solid body for a nice wakeup in the morning. Oh also I roasted it in my garage.
I'm up early today (central time zone) to mow the lawn before it reaches 100+ degrees. I usually try to be polite and wait until after 8 am, but I already hear another neighbor who started mowing at about 7:20, so maybe I'll head out.
for pancakes of course. A few brews. Then off to Buffalo Wild Wings to catch the victory of Victors. Don't have satellite, cable doesn't carry BTN here.
Pancakes seems to be the theme of the morning.
Bodes well for the O-Line.
Pancakes it is! Hopefully a few will be served up Mr. Kalis and company.
I'm going with waffles, they are reminiscent of the little indentations the RB's cleats make when they run over people.
Am eating cereal, gotta go work out, and do homework until 3:29! Go blue!
Been up since 6:30. Watched inside michigan football and tom's speech for the second time, the last quarter of under the lights I. Ready for college gameday and tailgating!
complaining that they couldn't find a beer store in town.
Just arrived at the airport after a flight filled w michigan fans. Awkwardly saw a guy wearing an app state football shirt? That was awkward.
Next stop Ann Arbor
I was up at 6. Had a real good workout. Now watching Gameday in preparation for today. I will crack a Leinenkugel Oktoberfest at high noon! Go Blue!
Hung up my new Block M flag and watched all the Hype Videos with my 11 month old son! Gameday! He will be sporting his brand new #12 Jersey!
I cracked a Two Hearted at 8:30 and don't feel an ounce of guilt. Welcome back Michigan Football.
Wedding today. Recording M and several other games.
That's totally Un-American
mowed the lawn! A happy wife is a happy life! Getting ready to take my boy to the game! He is a first timer going today. He is looking forward to the game and the marching band!
3. Hydrate (very important)
5. Hope there is time for pancakes?
My retirement will include living in Ann Arbor for the football season. My husband has agreed.
This is first year in new condo!!
With the plan. Awesome lady!
1. Play a couple fight songs on my computer while I browse the morning mgoblog threads like I'm doing now.
2. Get some McDonalds breakfast.
3. Watch College Gameday.
5. Get hype
6. Drink and watch game
Woke up, took a shower, and put on my lucky M shirt that I wore during MBB's tournament run.
Woke up, turned on ESPN to watch GameDay, and got a Comcast error message.
25 minutes on the phone later, we're up and running. Phew.
see the sign on GameDay...."Lou Holtz for Prethadent" Lauged my ass off!
"Leave Miley Alone" made me chuckle.
It's finally here! I never go to the first game. I haven't been to opening day since the horror. Since then, I've stayed home, got up early and went to the gym, cone home and make chili. Friends bring burgers and dogs to grill I love this day.
Paul Finebaum just said OSU wouldn't be one of the top 5-6 teams in the SEC. I hate OSU as much as the next guy, but that is one of the more asinine comments I've seen by ESPN. That says something, given the fact that Mark May and Skip Bayless both work there.
Alabama is a great program; Georgia and LSU look to be good this year. But South Carolina nearly lost to an 8-5 UM team last year without any semblance of a running game, A&M is going to have to deal with Manziel and a tough schedule, and Florida was one of the more overrated 10+ win squads I saw last year. The SEC kool-aid is strong with ESPN, but this is getting ridiculous.
The big 10 is the worst conference. I would be surprised if Ohio were to be even competitive with Ole Miss which plays one of the toughest schedules week in and week out playing against NFL caliber competition
I live in Madison. Fun drive home from the farmers market this morning. Kids dusting off the cobwebs and getting the pregaming going. The whole thing just put me in a great mood for the day.
Just saw that the big ten preview show at 11am will consist of a segment on our very own Brady Hoke.
For those interested, BTN will be discussing Hoke's coaching style.
I'm planning a round of golf for Noon or so. OSU will be playing which means all the sheeple will be watching that game, and hopefully, I should be able to make it through 18 in 3 hours, giving me just enough time to get home, shower and plant my ass on the couch.
I have to miss the game today which is a major bummer. Hopefully getting text updates from people and then I'll have to watch the torrent later.
I am at the jug. Life is good.
Got up, brushed teeth/showered/etc, turned on some hype music:
I study with a friend around noon for a few hours which should help pass the time before kickoff.
The guy texts me back 10 minutes before the meeting saying he can't make it and wants to reschedule.
This is why you always text your friends before hopping in the car, kids. Flakiness is a worse epidemic than painkiller abuse these days.
Well at least it's a slow day so far at Children's Hospital. I'll be listening to the game on the radio assuming things don't get busy and then watching the game on my DVR later when I get home.
Scott Van Pelt was in my dream the other night. That's normal right?
About to eat a corned beef omelet and then we hop on I-94 West. Then it's whiskey, beer and football at the Big House!
Gonna be a great day!
Urban Meyer is a tool
