fwiw, B. Smith to Temple
I know he's gone and that's old news but sometimes people like to know where transfers are headed. So here it is
Temple has added five players during the early signing period, including Brandon Smith, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound former Michigan linebacker, and Rod Streater, a 6-foot-4, 195-pound wide receiver from Alfred State CC, N.Y.http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/recruiting/tracker/school?page=onthetrai…

That's not a bad place for him to go, Al Golden is doing solid work there. Good luck to him.

With all the coaching changes in the recent past, I'm surprised nobody picked him up. He's got BCS experience at Virginia, which hasn't been the same since he left. Turner Gill got the Kansas job out of the MAC with what I think is a weaker resume. Golden's worked at Penn State and Boston College besides Virginia. I think Golden will be a hot commodity after next season. Say, oh, Illinois?

Definately is a good place for him. Wish him luck there.

Good luck to him. Temple was a good team this past year, hopefully he can contribute and keep their success continuing.

Would have liked to see what you could do in GERG's defense, however I'm sure you will have a fine career at Temple. Al Golden has that program going places.

This is what usually happens. When kids transfer due to playing time, they usually transfer a) to a smaller school and b) closer to home. So this fits. I wish him good luck. He should be a stud in the MAC.

He's a very talented athlete. I think he will do very well at Temple.

Does Temple have its own stadium or do the Owls play at, say, the Eagles' venue?
January 20th, 2010 at 11:38 AM ^
They play @ the Eagles stadium, i.e. Lincoln Financial Field.

Temple is D1 school so he has to sit out a year correct?
January 20th, 2010 at 11:40 AM ^
Yes temple is D1, east division of the MAC for what it's worth, so he'll be sitting out this yr.

If he still doesn't get to play safety. Sometimes you are a linebacker. It happens...

Thankfully I wasn't drinking anything when I read that because it would be all over my monitor.

Magnus, how come you reply with a separate post rather than directly replying to the initial post? Just wondering cause i've always been curious about this.
January 20th, 2010 at 2:13 PM ^
Magnus, in an attempt to bring attention to himself, has claimed that his "reply" button doesn't work on his work computer.
Oops, I wasn't supposed to make fun of him anymore.
January 20th, 2010 at 3:48 PM ^
As mentioned above, my work computer is goofy. If I hit the reply button, my browser closes for some reason. So I can only reply in the box on the main thread.

about what a horrible man rich rod is and how they made him practice too hard.
best of luck to him at temple and in all future endeavors. go in peace and most important of all, go quietly.

By the time he sits out a year and sees the field, things will no longer be "Golden" at Temple. Al is as good as gone after one more year.
