Here is Jim’s full press conference from today/Saturday.

There were some great non answers to what he is doing next.

But the best part is he spent a third of the full 40 minutes talking about sharing revenue with the athletes.  It wasn’t planned at all.  It came up when another reporter asked him for his thoughts about after the game, in this case on the future of college football, and he started to once again say they “have a one track mind”.  But this time, after thinking about it, he started in and said “there is one thing I’d like to talk about…”.  He went on and on about how everyone is “robbing the train” and that the players are the only ones fans come to watch.  After he introduced the topic and talked about it for a while there were a number of follow up questions.  I enjoyed that part of the presser most.

The rest of the questions and answers were the normal coach speak about respect for the other team and how much he loves his players and coaches.

It was great to see him smiling most of the time.

It would be so awesome if he stayed in Ann Arbor. He seems happy coaching these guys. Come back Jim with JJ. One more year! One more year!

He non-answered SEC Heather Dinich right off the bat twice in a row. And whoever asked him about "how cool is it for the B1G conference to have 2 future teams in the final?", got a total non-answer. Loved it!

Hilarious.  Go pound sand Dinich.

ESPN’s Heather Dinich asked about the future of Michigan and Harbaugh. How much will the result of the this game (Michigan vs. Washington for the national title) influence your level of interest in coaching in the NFL afterwards?

“No idea about that. Couldn’t be more happy to be here,” Harbaugh said. “This is cool. Right where we want to be.”

Dinich followed up with the fact that Michigan’s administration is trying to keep him. Reportedly, a contract worth $125 million over 10 years is in the works. And Harbaugh is yet to publicly agree to any terms with Michigan. The former San Francisco head coach reached the Super Bowl with the 49ers in the 2012 season. At Michigan since 2015, his current contract ends after the 2026 season at more than $7 million a year.

“I understand you don’t want to focus on this, but people are wondering about the future of Michigan’s program, and you’re a big part of that,” Dinich said. “And I know the administration wants you back. Have you assured them that you will be here after this season?”

“Yeah, there’s a schedule,” Harbaugh said. “I’ll gladly talk about the future next week.”

Then he smiled wryly as usual.

“The future – I hope to have one,” he said. “How about that?”

"Those questions have to be asked"

Have always fucking hated that rationale reporters use.  It's only based on trying to be first to report.  If media entities and writers are and were truly worth a damn they'd have nice stories and good writings in place about big the "big games", instead of hoping for a nugget about the "futures" (and juicy drama) of players/coaches.

Hey Heather...how about you go write about what Harbaugh actually said.  The amount of money this sport creates and how little goes to the appropriate people.  Nah...contract talk is easier and juicier to write about.

Journalist, my ass.

It would be great if there were a number of journalists that picked up the story about revenue sharing and how wrong the current model is. Unfortunately, people like Heather would get paid out of a smaller pool of money and they’re not going to promote something that lowers their income.  Only Jim will.

I love Jim but count me in the his gone section. I thought before this season that this would be his last here, and the way this season played out I have no doubt it's his last.

When they asked Coach after the Rose Bowl and JJ laughed his ass off I think its very telling. They are both coming back and Harbaugh and JJ are playing the national media like a fiddle.

Why would a human ask "whose got it better than us" then leave. Its ok coach will let you guys in on the joke next week. JJ might have a nice little tidbit as well. Im not worried either way but why leave when you are having the time of your life?

The way he's been attacked and maligned by the NCAA, the media and opposing coaches certainly provides incentive to leave and most of the aforementioned want him out college football for a variety of reasons.

How sweet would it be if he stayed and continued to be a fly in their ointment.

Harbaugh is the ultimate players coach because he is literally their advocate and voice (as of now) at the negotiating table.

Anyone who stands is his way be warned, he always represents the best interest of the players and the players are fully aware of what he has done for the sport, at every turn.

Criticize all you want.  But you better be prepared to answer, what have you done for the sport?

Great interview. Going after the suits and supporting players. No wonder NCAA is upset with him. He is taking away their vacation in Bahamas. LOL.
