TGIF everybody!  Wishing all of you a great, big, beautiful  Meeeechigan weekend. What's in your glass/bottle/cup tonight? Any special plans this weekend? I'm doing  the usual bourbon thing after having a couple bottles of Spotted Cow while grilling burgers. ECBP A121 followed by Woodford Reserve Double Oak. Go Blue and beat WMU!!!

Couldn’t find anything good at the grocery store tonight. Ended up leaving with a Sam Adams Fall variety 12 pack.

Never hated Sam Adams, but with so many exceptional beers out there now compared to back in the day, def felt like I was settling. But what can I say, I’ve been on a Juice Bomb kick lately haha

Coelho pinot from the Willamette Valley. Soon to be followed by Shieldaig Speyside 12YO.

As the father of a 21 year old soldier, my heart is just broken for the families of those young men killed at Kabul airport. I can't imagine their pain right now.

Salted Caramel Porter from Anderson Valley. Not as good as their Huge Arker but not bad. Only 9.5% lol.

Brothers Comatose serenading me in the garage. Seeing them live next week.

A friend asked for a Sidecar, so I picked up some Copper & Kings brandy.  Working my way through a number of brandy drinks, including between the sheets (both traditional and a riff that lowered the alcohol and added honey) and a Brandy Alexander.

Elijah Craig and Coke Zero.  The old Coke Zero, I think - although I think it’s been changed twice so “middle Coke Zero.”  I believe that there is a notable difference from ~$18 bourbon to ~$25 bourbon, but much past that is diminishing returns.  It’s not Scotch, don’t spend a fortune.

Just biding time, waiting for the wrath of Ida.

Kefir, frozen blueberries, limeade, and vodka smoothie. Yum! I get some Michigan Football at noon tomorrow in the sweltering Stadium. VIP open practice. I’ll try to jot down OL and DL starters and maybe Lb’s and Db’s. If I take pics I’ll probably lose my ushering job (semi serious).

Some Miller Lights at the bar until dinner got to the table. Excellent fish and chips.

As soon as the Atlantic cod and russets hit the table I switched to Boddingtons and Guinness.

-1 for not having old speckled hen.

now home and slamming Paulaner octoberfest, PBR and sipping Chicken Cock (PHRASING!!)
