First Birthday assist Request

Submitted by JimmyHardballs on November 13th, 2023 at 8:22 AM

Happy Victory Monday Morning all.

My son's first birthday is coming up with the party scheduled for 12/2. Kind of a BIG day. Theme and party were set just over a month ago   with the theme being the B1G Celebration.

The challenge I have is, I can not find a 2T Michigan #1 Jersey anywhere. Fanatics only has sizes 4-7. MDen has a 3T, but being that he isn't quite 1 the 2T is going to be the biggest size that he could actually wear.

Before I make the switch and put him in a #2, #4 or #9 jersey (just doesn't ring the same for a 1st birthday), was throwing out a request that someone has a 2T #1 jersey they would be willing to part with.

Hoping for this jersey but beggars can't be choosers. Thank you all in advance, and if this crosses the line Rob or LSA feel free to punt me.

I might have #1 if I can find it I'll bring it to the OSU game and give it to you.  I'll check with my daughter today and I'll let you know ASAP. Off the top of my head I just can't remember exactly how many #1's I've bought for my grandsons.

I will look in our Baby bins from the twins. Pretty sure we have two of them. I can't be certain though. I also can't be certain there aren't a few food stains here and there.

Buy the bigger jersey, they grow so fast that you'll get more use out of it. Have a 2 year old wearing 3T clothes. Lots of clothes never got worn more than a couple of times because they grew so fast.

I am really torn on this part. He is currently 11 months wearing 18 month clothes. If it wasn't an outfit to wear for a specific day I absolutely would size up. Since he is the guest of honor, want to try and make him look as put together as possible! I may run up to the Mden and see how large the 3T actually is on him.

We are hoping! He is off the charts in height and head-size, over 99th percentile in each.

And I kid you not, his first word was "Ball", my wife was a college volleyball player so he has a bit of athletic pedigree, even if his dad's football career ended in with a broken Tib/Fib in high school.

Like I said I'm almost positive I have a 2t and it's the Jordan Brand I will give it to you.  Only issue is my daughter is in class and not at home.  I'll keep checking in throughout the day and hopefully let you know something either way.  It's in great shape also!  I'm hoping to be able to help an up and coming,"SPECIAL" Wolverine for their, one and only first birthday.

Gonna sound weird but have you thought about dog jerseys? I’m not sure what the conversion chart is for your little one but I’m thinking it’s probably around a small terrier breed?

My cousin, Cosmo, used to share cough medicine with his dog Smuckers so there are commonalities between the species.

My daughter was 9 months and small at the start of the season and I still had her in a 2T #1 jersey for gamedays.  It was way too big but she didn't mind and worked fine.  It was also a bit hard to find so I feel you, but getting the bigger size means I won't have to worry about finding another one next season (or maybe even two seasons). She was born the day after the B10 championship last year, so I also have lots to do to prep for a big birthday party.  She has #4 2T that we got on Amazon via searching there, and I'm pretty sure the 2T #1 came from Target.  Hope that is helpful and happy early birthday to all of you!

(Hopefully we all have to negotiate longer naps and later bedtimes so they can see at least see Michigan kickoff it off to start a national championship game in a couple months!)
