Firefox and MGoBlue.com

Submitted by Brian on
So whenever I try to listen or watch multimedia on MGoBlue.com on Firefox it tells me there's a plugin I have to install. If I search for plugins it says it can't find one.

If I close the plugin thing it says MGoBlue.com wants to install some software, which is an active X control. If I let this happen it looks like it installs but it doesn't actually install.

Anyone figure this out?

a few weeks.  They can't even count down to August 30.  Maybe the people who know what they are doing are all on vacation and a few WVU imports have taken over.

I have same problem as Brian; I just gave up and watch mgoblue.com stuff on IE7.  It did work fine before on Firefox 2, so I'm sure new version compatability problems that'll get fixed.

Have you tried manually installing mozactivex-ff, not through mgoblue.com?  That's what it asked me to install (I don't have FF 3.0, I've been too lazy, I still have 2.whatever it's at) and that makes it work for me.

I downgraded to firefox 2 so I could listen to the fan day audio.  It worked fine.  Whoever did the interviews, though, doesn't know wtf they're doing.  Every one of them sounds like there is wind blowing into the mike the throughout the entire interview.  It's extremely annoying and makes it difficult to hear.  It isn't worth the trouble, imo.

The good news is that if you decide to do this, you will still have all of your bookmarks when you go back to FF 3.
