At least we've got plenty of depth and skill at LB.

If said player leaves school. He enrolls at a new school, but pays his own way, can he walk on to that team in the fall.

But he cannot play in a game. He must still sit out a season.

But... Lane Kiffin can coach this fall. Sounds fair to me.

Justin Boren stand up.

Does anyone know exactly why he transferred? With the amount of PT he got on special teams and defense in the Wisconsin game, I would think he'd be eager to come back and battle for a starting spot. I know he was labeled as a "tweener" but that doesn't seem like a legit reason to transfer to me. Any takers?

He played worse then the walk-ons and he could see the writing on the wall.

on punt coverage and ok on kick offs. there was one kick off (i forget the game) where the returner got the corner and smith had the angle, the guy blew right past him. all smith could do was dive at him and he came way short... that pretty much sealed the deal that he wasn't nearly as fast as every one thought and that there was never a true postion for him on D....

Word around these parts is that he wanted to stay at S and the coaches wanted him at LB. He isn't fast enough to play S and his size seemed perfect for LB. Guys just get it stuck in their heads they are a certain position and no one can change their mind. I'm guilty of that though it was in a different sport.

It says that he transfered to Pine State, where ever that is.

Well if this is it, at least there's hope he can design a character that can play LB a bit more effectively...

If we were in the SEC, he would fit right in!

Any word on Boubacar? I know there were rumblings that he had an outside shot to make it back into the good graces of the coaching staff and I haven't heard about him leaving for another school.

...as long as he doesn't pull a Boren on the way out. And it is nice to have that scholly available for next year's count.
