As someone who despises Notre Dame to an unhealthy level, I don't think think I'm going to watch this game against Northwestern. I don't want to come off this high and we already got the news about McCaffery.

Do not want LSU to win this or even keep it close. We need LSU to drop out of this race. Even if Alabama loses, they will stay in front of us and LSU will jump to #1. That's not a good situation!

I didn't realize NW has the tiebreaker over Purdue and Wisconsin so they are basically 2 games up.  The B1G really needs them to win this one so they have a decent team in the championship game and not one with 4-5 loses.

So.... is it better for ND to win and allow us to say we lost to an undefeated team? Or to lose. Will they drop below us, even though they beat us?

Given how soft Notre Dame's schedule has been (despite actually trying to the contrary), it's hard to see how they'd remain ahead of us with a loss to a Northwestern team we beat. Even if they stayed about us after this week with a loss, they'd eventually drop below us if we won out.

Hot takes:

1. NW - ND looks like a slog that could go down to the end. Doesn't look like ND is going to be able to get any separation.

2. LSU will be lucky to score 10 points.

NW doing good. If their defense can hang in the second half it could get interesting. Their offense looks ok.
