No thanks. We've seen what the BTN talking heads have to say. I can't imagine ESPN can be much more informed. That's national media, though. It's impossible to be as plugged into teams as local beat writers.

It just doesn't do anything for me.

From every preview of the season I've heard on ESPN so far. Is Jim Harbaugh going to far? Is Michigan going to live up to the hype? Why are people overlooking MSU? Ohio State will win the Big Ten.

Let me guess, the rationale behind the MSU pick was something like "I just think everyone is overlooking MSU, and that feeds into their culture, and they'll be ready to play and earn that respect they deserve. And please mom forgive me for this embarrassing level of analysis."

They're not either of those things.  They're pro-ratings, and will say whatever gets people to watch.  And a big chunk of people are interested in watching both (1) overly positive things about Michigan and (2) overly negative things about Michigan.

I agree with what Harbaugh said about people wanting to see Michigan fail. Way past time to shut those people up.

say that OSU was the most talented team in the conference. Both commentators picked Ohio State to win the conference. Seems odd considering OSU only has 6 returning starters out of 22. Computers picked UM to win the conference. I think this is really a product of the fact that most in the media see Meyer > Harbaugh, as the record reflects.

First 20 minutes were Harbaugh redux from the summer, but it wasn't anti-Michigan. It was just pointless. It went on mute after that. The best piece of info was the FPI projection, which had M at 49% to win the B1G E, OSU at 31%, MSU at 10%, and PSU at 9%.
