Good first half by the U.S. However, that diamond formation looks unconvincing. Turkey sliced through the midfield with ease at the beginning of the game; they just didn't take their chances. Bradley clearly the most creative U.S. player, but do you all think a double pivot in a 4-2-3-1 is likely if the defensive partnernship doesn't settle by the World Cup?

...but it immediately made me think of Dino Cicerelli of the Red Wings and many of the goals he got, mostly from picking up the garbage in front of the goalie and depositing it in the nearby net.

Just a bad first touch...no need to knock him on that.

And like I've said to all those bitching. STFU, he's not going play - ever. If you have someone who's not going to play, I don't fault a coach for taking a young kid who's going to learn over one of the best players in your nation's history that's going to be a distraction.

In the end, people are whining and this is an argument over a 12-seed.

No matter if Donovan or anyone else is your argument, the fact is, if they guys in this position as the last man on the team, they're not going to play a huge role. Maybe Green comes in for a late spark when some speed is needed.

I don't know, honestly, I don't really care.
