I'm anticipating ESPN will be the most generous of the 4 recruiting sites because of how many of our commits have already committed to the UA AA Game (Presented by ESPN).

ESPN 150 comes out today @ 1pm ET
will rate our the class the highest!
I disagree, Scout is a very good raking service, but I think Rivals is the best ranking service ever.
At least one player who we believe belongs on the ESPN 150 will not make the list. Someone will ask, "WHY DOES ESPN HAVE IT OUT FOR US???"
Not going out on much of a limb with that one.
Ummm you must not be familiar with BiSB.
Or Blue in South Bend? You really should be more specific, someone might get confused.
Who's Blue in south bend? I thought we were talking about the bank the wholw time...
I don't know what you heard about me
But you can't get a dolla outta me
No points, no trolls, no flamebait 'round me
Because I'm motherf*cking BiSB
I'm guessing you are about as close to 50 Cent as you are to South Bend.
But I do enjoy a candy shop as much as the next man
You've been waiting a long time to use that, haven't you?
No love for my alma mater: British International School of Bratislava?
An even better institution....the Belgian Institute of Sensational Beer.
Kugler highest rated Morris 2nd
have you been smoking? Shane will be in the top 10!
You're pretty close to the number. I tweeted with an ESPN recruiting board member that told me that my guess of 8-9 woundn't be unreasonable. So i am going with the 8-9 of the 13 on the watch list.
I'll take 11. By signing day, 13
I will say 7or 8, Morris the highest.
Shane Morris will be the highest rated prospect and Gareon Conley will be the biggest surprise.
If you guys click each of our commits profiles Only Dawson, Morris, Thomas, Mccray have "traits" next to their profile explaining what they're best at. All of the other commits don't have any "traits." ESPN is only doing the top 150 so they will want those guys profiles complete.
Just my guess?
This would indicate 6 players. So if we make some assumptions that number may be close.
If you assume that we will have a top 5 class and take the trends from the last 4 ESPN 150's, 6 might be the starting number (which I know will make everyone angry).
The average top 5 class over the last 4 years averages 40% of their players in the 150. The average top 3 class over the last 4 years averages 45%. So that comes out to 7 or 8 guys out of 17 if you take the percentages.
So I would guess 10-11 when recruiting is final.
at the moment there are 8 recruits with traits and Morris doesn' thave any. Dymonte and LTT have the most.
If you go with what's revealed when you select the scouting report tab, we have 10/13 with Shallman, Gedeon, and Butt not making the list. Not surprising with Gedeon and Shallman playing as many different positons as they do, sometines that's just too much for the espn machine to handle...
Kugler and morris will be in the top 20...Some tweets from Tom Luginbill about the ESPN 150 also points out that some illinois linemen will be highly rated..
The state of Illinois is having a rare year for prospects, especially offensive lineman. #espn150
There is a center in top 20 of #espn150 and he is that good.
This is the best group of pocket passers in the QB class of 2013 we have seen in awhile. The dual-threats are down in numbers. #espn150
TomVH has said we'll be happy with the list and he knows the fanbase well, so I'm remaining cautiously optimistic. If it sucks, we'll know he has been lost to the dark side forever.
Tom VH may be required to be objective now, but he will never be "lost to the dark side."
I fully expect no one to be happy with it....thought on that note i expect Shane to have his highest ranking on ESPN.
If I'm not mistaken Luginbill loves Shane.
will be shocked if Shane is not a 5 star!!! My guess is any where from 6 to 13 players in the ESPN 150. ESPN has not like MICHIGAN the last couple years,I think this year we get some respect!!! We have alot of talent in this class. GO BLUE!!!
I predict that I will personally outraged by at least one thing on the list
I'm outraged about your prediction that someone will be outraged.
I'm offended that you're outraged.
I'd say McCray is the dark horse for a high grade with KugleyBear and Bosch right behind. Taco might be a riser too (top 100)
KugleyBear ? Did I miss something?
Everyone seems to be forgetting Dymonte Thomas. He should be Top 25, amirite?
To be clear, we're going to wait to see these before deciding whether the ESPN rankings are complete garbage or a wonderful complement to the other sites' rankings, right?
I didn't want salmon. I said it four times! These rankings are horse shit!
Liveblog?
I predict all of our prospects will be tied for the number #1 ranked prospect. Also everyone we are going after will be tied for 18th. But, if they end up signing with us, they will move up to a tie for #1 as well.
I think Morris is the highest ranked at #9, a four star (since ESPN has the lowest number of 5 stars). I think there are 9 players in the 150, including the whole o-line, Thomas, Morris, McCray and Lewis (a surprise until that last camp)
I'll be that guy... 1 because we are in the midwest and we're not Ohio.
My guess is that we'll have somewhere in the neighborhood of 17 in the ESPN150, with 23-24 by signing day. I also understand they're adjusting our class of 2012 to have roughly 28 recruits in the 150.
Greatest barometer of a recruit's potential is his offer list. ESPN holds that in higher regard than any other service or good reason.
Forget ESPN, I am a new fan of Bleacher Report (yes that former trash rag). 2 of top ten nastiest 2013 recruits are Michigan men with Kulger #1 and Shallman #4. Vanderdoes is #9.
...assure that Chunkums will be consensus 5* and most coveted recruit in the internet. Good thing he's a Michigan lock.
My prediction is 6 Michigan recruits but Shane Morris will be absent. (not really, but srsly I wouldn't be surprised at all)
A few interesting notes:
TomVH reiterated to the WN board "you guys will be happy..."
Also, 15 of 17 commits are now on the watch list, only Shallman and Hill were left off.
Moving Shallman off puzzles me..
All of them will be in the top 100. In fact, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that our commits will be ranked 1-17, with Shane Morris at #1.
You hate Michigan if you think otherwise.
...that we would have 8 players in the ESPN 150: Shane Morris, all five offensive line recruits, McCray, and Thomas.
However, after reading the scouting reports for each of Michigan current commitments (ESPN has finally posted them for all our players), I have added two more to the list for a total of 10: Taco Charlton and Gareon Conley. Reading both of their reports got me so excited for their futures at Michigan, particularly Conley who has really been under-the-radar at this point. Between his designation as an UA All-American and his scouting report, I believe he'll make the cut.
One guy who probably won't make the cut, but I think will be the sleeper of this class, is Jaron Dukes. The scout who drafted his report stated he was a "more agile and faster version of (2012 Ohio recruit) Dwayne Stanford...and in our opinion more physical." I know that I would've gladly accepted Stanford into the fold last year. A better version of Stanford? Yes, please...
I'd be willing to reconsider if more film of Jaron Dukes becomes available, but at this point, I would pick Stanford over Dukes. I also doubt that Conley will make the list.
EDIT: And I was immediately proved wrong by Conley, who's pretty high on the list. Wow. I'm not sure if I agree with that ranking, but good for him.
So is it just the 150 or do they give out stars as well??
According to TomVH, they will give out stars for the ESPN 150 recruits, but that's it.
Just came out. Morris #4 QB, highest ranked.
Has Ben Gedeon as #1 ATH but only an 80 grade, Dymonte #12 ATH so that is obviously off. Only Shallman and Hill not 4 stars. Morris only rated 82, rest are pretty much 80,81.
We have the #1 OG (Dawson), #4 and #5 OG, #10 (or#11 OT Tillman), list just went down.
Shane Morris 37
Gareon Conley 63
Mike McCray 75
David Dawson 92
Logan Tuley Tillman 97
Dymonte Thomas 98
Chris Fox 105
Jourdan Lewis 107
Kyle Bosch 112
Taco Charlton 115
Patrick Kugler 121
Thought ESPN loved Shallman...
Whatever though, I was hopeful they'd move Lewis n Conley up so thats good.
Thats way lower than what I expected for Morris
