Enough is enough. It is time for a change.

I have kept quiet about this because I didn't want to clutter the boards but I have had enough and can't hide my frustrations anymore. A change is necessary and must be made soon. The change must be drastic cause it is better than this.

I need a new pillow in my dorm room bad. Mine has been nothing but lumpy and uncomfortable. I haven't gotten a good nights sleep on it in a while. I have tried everything. Two pillows. Sleeping on my side and back. Resting it on the headboard or flat on the bed but nothing. Your opinions are welcome about what kind of pillow I should get.

Sorry for the neg.  But, pursuant to my new "Neg All Coaching Change Discussions" Policy, all references to Jim Harbaugh must be negged.  No offense intended - its a non-discretionary policy.  For what its worth, I thought your post was very witty.

After consideration on appeal, the ruling by the lower "court" has been reversed.  The post does not violate the spirit or the letter of the NACCD Policy.

its not your pillows fault.  get rid of the mattress now.  you need to exercise patience.  you've only had those pillows for a couple years.  see how they are after next year.  if you are still losing sleep after next year then fire their asses.

Some people seem to like the pro style pillow, thicker and more old fashioned.  Others like the spread pillow that crosses over the width of the bed, thinner and newer style.  It takes some getting used to especially if you have always used the pro style pillow.

Michigan Athletic Director Dave Brandon, in his strongest statements yet, made it clear Tuesday that he's not happy with Maizenblue92's sleeping performance this season, but he'll wait at least a month to decide whether or not to keep the pillow.

Brandon doesn't believe the delay will hurt Maizenblue92's sleep, but others are not so sure.

"Sleeping is a 12-month-a-year process," Brandon told The Detroit News on Monday. "There will always be sleeping going on in one fashion or the other. It's a dynamic process. There's no good time, bad time, better time as it relates to how you manage the situation."

The pillow should stay for another year, but it needs to have a plan for the pillowcase, which needs to go. The pillow can't just go to Linens n Things and haphazardly pick out another pillowcase. It needs to find a good fit, the right thread count, a coordinating color to match your sheets. In fact, it might want to pick out a whole new set of sheets, too. Sometimes, just a new pillowcase isn't good enough. A whole new set of sheets might be in order. If, in a year, with a new pillowcase and matching sheets, you're still having a hard time, then it's time for a new pillow.

Give your pillow AT LEAST one more year. The situation the pillow was put in was tough - no pillow could be comforting on the bad mattress it was brought into. Every pillow needs to be given an opportunity to get the mattress and sheets it needs to be successful.

before considering a change.  You might want to spend some quality time with your old pillow over New Years as well before doing anything hasty.

I cannot possibly overemphasize how much a simple, inexpensive NOISE MACHINE can change your life, and I mean immediately.  I started having trouble sleeping a couple years back (just getting older, I think) ...got a noise machine on E-bay for about $30.  They typically have anywhere from eight to 15 different noise patterns.  Set the volume at a level that's right for you and start sleeping better the very first night.  If not, come back here and neg the crap outta me.  Told a friend who also bought one, same result.  Seriously, it WILL work for you too.

Ya know, as I was reading through your post I found myself swayed by your air-tight logic and generally rational thought process.  My pillow too has been somewhat lacking of late in the fluffiness department.  I mean, I love it, it's my pillow, but over time I've just sat by and watched as it became flatter and flatter.

I think it's time for a change....
