They care, look at how much effort was put into a hypothetical when their team is on the verge of going undefeated.

I've said this before: it takes much more than a good football coach to make a great football program. From OSU's president down to the fans, they all give a shit about winning football and it shows.

Meanwhile our admin is worried about coaches using proper language and making sure Jim doesn't throw a temper tantrum on the sidelines while the refs make sure his team has no chance of winning.

I had a friend who's an OSU fan telling me that Michigan should hire Hafley because of similar reasons. Looking into him a bit I think he would be a touch of a gamble with lack of experience but could be awesome.

Not that I have a say, but Hafley is my number two choice behind Mario Cristobal. I think they would excel here, especially since they are recruiting monsters and based on where they're at/paid, the chances of them saying "no" to us would be low.

You are exactly right. Fickell is staying put at UC. He has young kids, is the toast of Cincinnati, the fans and players love him and I think he is already making about $3M and doesn't seem to be all about money. He may go in a few years but I would bet it would be to a USC or ND program.

I never understand chasing a guy that has done well in a lower conference.  Yes, Fickell has done ok at UC but they just have to beat Memphis and UCF every year.  Doesn’t mean he can win in Ann Arbor, very few can or have.

ND knows they can’t do better then Brian Kelly who has had a very up and down time in South Bend.  Reports are he wants to move to the NFL, but very little interest.

Fickell for the revenge factor of being passed over (think of a rejected girl friend). OSU will want nothing to do with him.  If he can recruit at a consistent top five level, watch out!!  Get the first win like Bo did in 1969 and boom, all aboard the train.  Remember Bo had a 11-9-1 record against OSU.
