The best part is the bottom of the article where he thanks the Buckeyes for donating to Georgia Tech to spite the Wolverines.  At least we can beat them at something.

The money cannon remains undefeated.  It's like the lost Ark of the Covenant.

And this is why there's no way any other schools want to make paying players legal, because then it's fucking on like Donkey Kong.

This is assuming that this charity drive is representative of how schools would pay players, which is a wild assumption given that Georgia Tech finished 2nd and Bama finished 11th behind schools like Virginia and Kansas State.

If you don't think Alabama would sell state land to foreign countries to fund the best payroll in the country you're mistaken.

It's not just this charity drive, it's every time the Michigan alumni and fanbase is alerted to a cause and the technological savvy, level of income, and good natured-ness of Michigan dominates.  Beilein got kicked out of the Infiniti Coaches Challenge because it stopped being a challenge.

When you combine Ivy-level job market respect (and thus earning potential) with a very large student body, plus the tradition of excellence that has attracted thousands of "Walmart Wolverines" (love you folks...well, most of you), you have the recipe for a lot of dollars for athletics.  Michigan is like the third most valuable athletic department and consistently dominates TV ratings.  I'm telling you, these fools better hope paying players doesn't become legal.

Suck it all those losers who donated money to a charitable cause without winning a meaningless competition to be part of the group that donated the most!  Ha!
