#Eating question

Submitted by Shop Smart Sho… on

It seems Amazon is running a new program where they donate 0.5% of each of your purchases to a charity.  They have some featured ones, but I'm trying to figure out if the H.O.P.E. project that Martavious was working with is one of the smaller ones that you can choose from.  Not surprisingly, there are a lot of charities that use the word Hope in their name.  The closest I can find is one based out of Elon, NC.  I'm guessing that isn't the right one, but if anyone has some info to help sort this out, that would be great.

Pretty sure that's not them, though the Elon charity is using the same acronym. You should email them to ask them to sign themselves up if they don't see this post.

I'm pretty sure the "buy stuff at amazon" link at the top of this page is a similar link for supporting mgoblog fyi, while maybe not a charity...

That's not quite the same. I believe that just pays MGoBlog a small referral % of any purchases users make from clicking through the link. Only accessible I believe here.

The charity part is called Amazon Smile. You have to go to smile.amazon.com and designate your charity there. I believe it is also a percentage of purchases are donated. Far as I know you can just add that to the URL at any time and it activates the charity part. Unfortunately I forget to do it about half the time but I've been using it since they debuted it.

This is Vincent Smith and thank you for asking about us and thinking about us.

That is not us on amazon.  There is a few gardens with that name H.O.P.E. and our offical name is now TEAM GARDENS and our garden project is called The #EATING project.

We will look into setting up that account because that is a great idea and will help us plant more gardens quicker.
