Dueling Columns between the Daily and State News

This is a pre-game tradition that has gone on for as long as I can remember, featuring trash talk between the Michigan Daily and State News as much about their annual touch football game as the actual game.  Mgoblog's own Seth Fisher shows up in the comments.

I took Seth's advice and the first four results were stories in which his suspension was in the headline.  Felt like projection.  "We bury stories that might make our AD look shady so they must do so as well"

"I am happy I now know what “in the paint” is. While you’re all busy explaining basketball’s finer details, The State News is busy winning nationwide college media awards, for more meaningful reporting that engages our readers, rather than belittle them."

Yeah, but did they win these with dignity? I feel like these details - like winning awards relatively few people have heard of with dignity - get overlooked and I am a bit tired of that, to be honest...

Sad that, while knowing this column would be printed in their primary rival’s paper, the author and/or his editor didn’t take the time to check his work.  Or maybe this is a reasonable indicator of their ineptitude, thinking they got it right.

A pretty sorry command of the fundamentals of grammar.
