Drew Henson and the Lions
Drew Henson was apparently signed by the Lions to replace Stanton who broke his thumb Scott Dreisbach style -- on a lineman.
Not surprisingly, it sounds like this is a very temporary spot to get the Lions through pre-season.

This guy was one of, if not the best high school football (and baseball) player to ever come out of the state of Michigan. Too bad things turned out sour for him. Hopefully he saved that money he did get from the Yankees.
Anyone know if his family still lives in Brighton?

This is great news.
Now if only we would sign David Terrel.
Drew Henson I can't quit you.

He actually preferred baseball from what I recall. He just couldn't hit a major league quality curveball.
If someone could play either sport professionally, baseball is the logical choice. Longer career and less toll on the body. I'm just really surprised he couldn't make it work when he came back to football.

I think you mean a minor league quality curveball.
556 strikeouts in 501 career minor league games
