There's a fine line between belief and delusion. This just makes our whole fan base look stupid. And why the hell are there West Virginia highlights in there?

To see how we came out of the gates, only to falter so badly down the stretch. The fact that we havent see play like this all year just kills me. A highlight film of us beating Eastern, Western, Indiana... just dosent do it for me when i know how we faired against MSU, IOWA, PURDUE, PENN STATE, ect. I think ill go throw up now.

Watching it, I began to wonder why Tate--in fact, the other players too--looked better at the beginning of the year. Forget the often cited reasons for a minute and consider this. Did the simple effort of trying to learn new skills cause a temporary setback---like when you try to learn a new wrinkle for your golf swing. You start thinking too much about what you're doing and your whole game falls apart. Tate impressed me at first as having a gift of automatically knowing what to do-kind of like Brady. I know that Tate and the others have a lot to learn still. But maybe, for these last two weeks, the coaches need to lighten up on the teaching and focus more on the doing. Just a thought.

Remember the movie where Kevin Costner played a golf driving range pro who gets into the US open? He's on the 18th hole, lying 11, after just having hit about 5 balls into the water. Then, his girlfriend, Renee Russo, tells him "Just go for it, Roy." Well, the rest is history...or at least historical fiction. He hits the ball 250 yards into the wind and it goes into the cup. The message to him was "stop worrying...just do it." Maybe that's the kind of message needed at this point. So what if you've just (aside from DSU) put 5 straight games into the tank. Maybe your task seems pretty overwhelming now. But, if you just do it, the result could be pretty cool.
