Dior Mathis
Dior Mathis - I know Cullen's commitment makes the need at CB less striking, but I still think we should push hard to get this guy. What's up with his recruitment?
I checked Rivals, and they don't even have him considering us (and MSU as well.)
What's the deal with the young lad with the fashionable name?

I think the most common response you'll get is the staff cooled on him.

I personally like Grimes better at corner. In my opinion, Dior projects better in the slot, and we're definitely full there. I'd take Grimes if he wants to come, and call it quits at corner after that. I think Rashad Knight is being recruited as a safety, and I'd definitely take him.

We are not going after him hard anymore. He missed his chance to commit early on. We are in on better prospects than him.

No more midget corners. Opposing WRs made Cissoko their bitch all season long. Getting Grimes will give us two highly rated, 6'1" corners. Mathis is most likely heading to Oregon.

I was skeptical on Cissoko, but I heard he had a big vertical and he looked decent in the Under Armour game, so I was ok with it. After seeing him get burned, I'd like to see a bigger guy like Warren take his place.

of issues, IMO.
Let's hope he gets his head together off the field and finds the ability to stay within the vicinity of the receiver on the field.
He was supposed to be short but able to stick to the receiver. Clearly, we didn't see any of that from him this year.

Oh, I agree that height was not his biggest issue, but at the same time you have to realize it's hard to guard a guy thats 6'2" to 6'5" when you aren't even 6'. I'd much rather have a taller guy at the CB position.

As to Grimes vs Dior, I'm not informed enough to comment.

It's weird that he looked decent in the Under Armour game, since he actually played in the Army All-American game and got burned for a couple touchdowns.

Was Dior the one who only was interested in Oregon after they had 4 or 5 DBs drafted last year? I remember someone posted his facebook status on draft day and it said something along the lines of "oh wow never knew Oregon had such good DB coaching, they are in my top 5 now!"

you can always draft him in your college fantasy football league!

Are we really going to have a post every day with someone asking why we arent going after Dior?

Ask and you shall receive!

He seemed to me as one of those drama queen recruits, who were kind of toying with the recruiting process. Idk maybe I missing something. But he kind of rub me the wrong way, & im glad we got christian, avery&talbott instead.
