Did the B1G or ncaa ask about the source or methods of how the Stalions evidence was acquired?

I may have missed it with all of the madness, but do we know how the initial information was shared with the B1G, NCAA, or coaches? Is the known source si far just the wapo and thamel?

Maybe it’s my maize colored glasses, but at this point wouldn’t the B1G ask osu how they acquired the information? The first follow-up question when getting something big is, ‘how did you get this?’ Or ‘where did you find this?’

It’s entirely plausible that day’s brothers were involved. If the reports about day’s involvement are true, wouldn’t or shouldn’t that open up the conversation about whether or not osu broke rules and illegally accessed Michigan’s signs, practice footage and other football specific on-field game and practice information?

I just find it hard to believe that they have a signed expense report without illegally accessing Michigan’s computers.

If I’m a big ten coach, I’m asking this before getting riled up because who know what info they have on me.

We do know that Ryan Day said, "no comment" when asked if there was any connection between him, his brothers and the investigation. And honestly, in my opinion, he looked a little suspicious, dodgy and uncomfortable when he said "no comment."

"no comment"?  Here is the video link.

That question would be a very easy thing to categorically deny.  Why would he not shoot that question down?

Example:  Were you in DC on January 6th?  "no comment"  Um, ok.

An absurd question is not only easy to deny, but also in your best interest to deny in order to put an end to crazy speculation . . .  unless . . .

It is challenging to definitively prove the existence of second-order epistemic unavailability, as it relies on knowing what we don't know. It is possible that some knowledge appears unavailable simply because we lack the necessary tools, concepts, or perspectives to access it. As our knowledge and understanding evolve, what once seemed unavailable may become accessible.  I'm other words, fuck Ohio State, this is a fucking orchestrated witch hunt by them and NCAA is happy to go along with it.

Do we even know if he was good at his research?  At least one member of his "vast network" didn't stay past halftime of the game he was supposed to be scouting because it was raining.

Per Isaiah Hole, the sign stealers of various Big Ten schools apparently meet regularly to discuss their findings, so that may have given him more information than the "vast network" did.

I remember seeing that somewhere. If that’s the case, it’s surprising to see other b1g coaches mob up without knowing what skeletons are in their closets

Stealing signs isn't against the rules.  That's what's particularly annoying about this whole saga - the very thing that has fans and the media most worked up is allowed, and common, in college football.

The actual issue here is about scouting in person, but that doesn't move the needle for the general public in the same way.

Regardless, Stalions' methods seem so amateurish and careless that it's hard to imagine he was any kind of expert at this.

There’s no such thing as illegal search and seizure unless it’s done by a federal, state or municipal government. But there is felonious unauthorized access of a computer system. It would have nothing to do with the NCAA though, unless they were aiding and abetting the perps.

People tend to throw a lot of those phrases around including things like their 5th amendment rights and so on.

Although one is criminal, I'm pretty sure the NCAA could/should investigate a rival university accessing another school's computer system used by the athletic department. If, sending a 3rd party to video tape games has the Big Ten in an uproar, what does accessing their computer system garner? What else could have possibly been compromised? Playbooks, recruiting information...

I don’t think it really matters. This isn’t a criminal issue and the NCAA isn’t charging Michigan with a crime. Within the NCAA jurisdiction it doesn’t matter HOW the info is obtained.

If the info was obtained illegally, that’s an issue Michigan would need to address with actual law enforcement and go that route, but it doesn’t impact how it is viewed by the NCAA.

I had heard it was Matt Rhule who blew the whistle. The story I heard was some of the NFL players were talking about it when he was there.  Then UM stomped Nebraska.  So, he was pissed.

But I also heard a story it was someone from AA that turned them in. The same person who turned Jim in for his recruiting during covid and for the analyst being on the practice field.

So who knows?

Serious question the videos that they keep showing of Stallions on the sideline next to  Minter are those from the all 22? Cause if not why are they recording the sideline that’s a violation.

What does everyone think of Bacon naming Jim Stapleton as the source of everything coming out about the program?

if we look at the big picture I have always thought it was in house. Look at original allegations - how would any other coach know an analyst was on the practice field 1 day?  During covid how would any other coach know Jim's exact whereabouts?

Stapleton makes a lot of sense. He reportedly hates Jim.  He reported was the reason the Vikings passed on him. Now he reportedly is on the NCAA infractions committee. He has contacts at the university. Remember it was the NCAA that notified all the schools about this scandal.

Lets compare that to the rumor it was OSU.  Day would have to have a spy in the stadium for every practice to see the analyst 1 day on the field.  He would have to have a tracker on Jim to know where he was the entire dead period for Covid. He would have had to known about Stallon to sick his retired DEA agent brother on him. Then said brother had too talk a PI Agency he does not own or work for into breaking privacy laws.  Then they have to secretly get that information to the infractions committee.  Where Stapleton just happens to be.

I know the rivalry is all that but let's be honest. Stapleton makes a lot more sense if everything Bacon says is true.
