I wonder if RR was in the house?
February 10th, 2009 at 9:26 PM ^
They mentioned it a few times.

RR and wife were there tonight.

coincidence? maybe, but probably not. I would say that this was some sort of an unofficial, off the record visit. I really don't think that RR was at the same UM funciton with a top recruit and did not know about it. GO BLUE

Just go ahead and commit Devin lol
February 10th, 2009 at 9:39 PM ^
It was Cameron Gordon that said Go Blue at the end, FWIW.

I wasnt sure, I thought it looked like Gardner... my fault

Tom, was it posted here somewhere that D. Gardner was a silent osu commit?
February 11th, 2009 at 5:15 PM ^
No, because OSU secretly offered Jesus who then secretly committed to the Buckeyes so as to throw Tebow and Meyer off their trail...

Thank god it wasn't the football team that laid an egg like the bball team did tonight. And don't give me, "the team was tired" bs. Beilein must be very disappointed.

I thought they played very well on defense. The game was really close until the late garbage time fouls. This team was NOT supposed to be in the NCAA tourney this year. Find ways to be happy about things rather than excuses to be upset. If you would have been asked before the season if this team was going to make the NCAA tourney you would have said "I hope so, but I doubt it very much" well, they have lived up to all of our pre-season expectations. They played hard and were out-matched by a better team. Wait a few years and be happy with the direction the team is headed rathe rthan tearing them down when they don't meet your hightened expectations.

I can't really hate on a team that has two starting walk on point guards and a couple three star freshman shooting guards that has beaten Duke, UCLA and Illinois, nearly beaten Maryland and State. I mean state is ranked what, 9? I'm actually surprised it was that close.
Now if Harris and Sims come back next year and they don't make the tourney THEN I will start to get on their case.

Gardner was there, along with Mathis, Easterly, Cam Gordon, Jeremy Jackson and Jonathon Hankins.

Cam and Jeremy were doing their recruiting duties. We'll take the whole bunch.

Tate was in the front row and saved someone in the second row by catching the ball when Novak made a diving attempt to swat it away from a state player. Hat on backwards and a huge smile on his face the whole game.

I read here somewhere that Gardner was a closet osu guy. A silent sweater vest commit. True?

No. This whole nonsense started because Gardner liked the color red when he was a kid so he liked OSU. He did not have Archie Griffin fatheads on his wall.
He is not tied to any one school. He appears to be friends with Cameron Gordon which is a plus, but that does not at this point seem to be a strong motivation.
I am sure that he will look at depth charts and his fit with the other players and coaches. Does that make OSU a possibility? sure. Is he already committed? no

I'd also read in quite a few places that Gardner is a silent OSU verbal, so I'm not really expecting him to come to UM.
Anyone know anything much about Bolden?
