Detroit Pistons to hold open practice at Crisler

Submitted by scanner blue on

I just received an email from the basketball staff saying the Detroit Pistons will have an open practice on Saturday, September 29. Doors open at 11:00 am with practice running from 12:00-2:00pm.

Having GRIII as a Piston is paying off. If I was a kid I'd be begging my parents, neighbors...anyone to take me to this.

No word, but I'm assuming it is free.

Hi Scanner!  Just now seeing you on here for the first time in a few weeks (probably largely because I've been spending a lot less time on the MGoBoard over the last couple months), wondering what section of The Big House you're working.  Are you at the gates or at a ramp going into Michigan Stadium?

Anyway, I'll try to find you Saturday, I'll have my sidekick (my 9-yr-old superfan granddaughter) with me, planning on following the MMB with her as they march to the stadium and then getting to our seats in time to watch some of the pregame warmups.

To JWG and rob f I am at Gate 10 a few chutes west of the large granite M. RobF --I won't be there this Saturday, will be the first game I've missed in 6 yrs due to a wedding up in Suttons Bay. On the bright side I'm stopping in at Xtra Melanin's farm (ranch?) between his brood's morning chores and church, looking forward to it. As to my diminished posting history...let's just say I was vacationing in Bolivia for awhile for posting when I should have stopped drinking and gone to bed. Luckily having friends in high places (Seth) , has me reinstated with no visible effects (i.e. -990,000pts).

I had no idea that you were on a trip to Bolivia, it must have been quite spectacular, hopefully your trip to the XM Ranch is even more spectacular.  But welcome back from your exile.

Sorry you can't be there this Saturday, I'll look for you next week for the Nebraska game.  We're in section 36, so your gate is pretty much right behind our section.

As for the Northwestern game, I had figured on going to Evanston for the umpteenth time until my niece decided to have her wedding that Saturday.  So much for those plans...

Football season Saturday weddings should be outlawed!
