It drives me insane that Thamel was trying to play the victim because apparently some assholes online sent him hate mail.  I get wanting to be safe but I doubt there's any credible danger to Thamel but he couldn't handle the heat of people yelling at him.

Obviously nobody should try to hurt a shitty reporter for being shitty at his job, but the media is always quick to cry foul whenever there's even a hint of pushback against whatever they do.
