Deone Walker in SI article

Walker made comments in a Sports Illustrated article that would seem to be in conflict with what we are seeing and hearing on the field and within the program. Thoughts as to what he may be eluding to?

“Before today I was towards Michigan, I’d say,” he told Sports Illustrated. “I mess with Coach Clink (Steve Clinkscale), who came from Kentucky, I mess with Coach (Shaun) Nua and my family likes Coach Nua, Coach Clink, Coach Harbaugh, Coach (Ron) Bellamy. I thought it was a family environment. It’s not looking all that right, right now.”

I saw that bit of info in the article although I assumed it was more Mario's buddy at school who was processed with the non commitable offer and he was upset about that and decommited, which in turn seems to have caused this Walker issue. Just seemed odd that would be his description of the team when it appears to be anything but from what we've seen and hear this year.

Can somebody translate this for an old guy? This statement is confusing as hell.

As the parent of a child on the autism spectrum, I cannot even begin to tell the ways in which this is offensive, not just to me personally, but the neurodivergent community in general....

Yes, we won't be having that either, if you get my drift.

Is that just your way of admitting that you're a neurotypical bigot?

It's really cool and funny to make fun of people with disabilities that they can't help, right? Do you point and laugh every time you see someone in a wheelchair? Isn't it funny when someone is different than you are?

Grow the fuck up.

I was going to post something about hoping the Eugenio decommit didn’t have a negative impact on Walker but thought against it.  Sounds like that’s the case.  This years recruiting is headscratching given the success and vibe the current players are projecting.
