The Free Press also learned today that Dorsey was arrested in another burglary, this one in June 2007. He got a break then, too, with prosecutors sending him to the diversion program.

....

In the November 2007 burglaries, records say Dorsey was one of five young men – aged 16 to 18 – in a car in the Fort Lauderdale suburb of Coconut Creek shortly before 10 a.m. on Nov. 30, 2007. Inside, police found stolen items, including a flat-screen television, a laptop computer, a ski mask and several pairs of gloves

So the charges apparently were dropped on the first one because he went into a diversion program. Then committed another burglary in November. So 3rd chances then?

Not actually gloating at all, tbh. Just correcting the poster I replied to.

He seemed to be trying to make fun of MSU and the freep, who never writes anything negative about MSU. But if you actually read the article you see that his joke fails pretty miserably, which was quite funny to me, so I replied.

Don't worry though, I am not heart broken over it, its been a pretty entertaining few minutes since I posted it. =)

I really don't understand how anyone can neg this. He is just stating the facts. I'm excited to have Demar but I hope that he doesn't get into any kind of trouble seeing as he has a really checkered past. I believe RR and staff can help him turn his life in a really positive way and am excited to see the results.

I understand your referring to my comments, but you didn't really seem too excited about Dorsey's background in the thread I linked. It just seems odd that your opinion seemingly changed so quickly over such a short time, I was surprised, like I said maybe its just me.

At first it was unclear whether there were still charges pending. Thats why I was a skeptic. But as soon as someone posted the acquittal notice, I was fine with it.

I come here to get away from trolls. Please don't act like one here.

I apologize for calling you a f*ing idiot, though. That was somewhat uncalled for.

Kelly was criticized in September 2004 for remarks he made to a Detroit paper about perjury charges filed against two former Central Michigan players after other CMU players were charged with second-degree murder in the fatal beating of a man. The death happened shortly after Kelly was named Central's coach.

"A number of them were African-Americans that had been in that culture of violence, and they're taught to look away," Kelly said. "You don't want anything to do with it. Get out of there. You don't say anything to anybody."
