Darion Green-Warren To OV For The Game
Darion Green-Warren has set his official visit for The Game. He was originally set to visit for the BBQ, but had to cancel due to a family vacation. There's been some consternation about our CB recruiting and he is a 4 star CB out of California. He's previously named UM his leader and has been in contact with David Long about his experience at UM. Would be a welcome addition to the 2020 class.
Additionally, if he and Malcolm Greene (4 Star S / CB out of VA) were to commit to Michigan, we could have a defense featuring German Green, Gemon Green, Nikhai Hill-Green, Darion Green-Warren, and Malcolm Greene.
Yes! Just saw this on, I believe, TMI...like this kid a lot.
It's not easy being green.
Way too much green for my liking. They should change their name to blue.
Does that mean when the sparties yell go green they’re rooting for us?!
Hey, we have always wished for " greener" pastures on the D. He could be the ticket to realizing it.
Yeah but opposing teams will be Green(e) with envy!
Is having all of those Greens/Greenes, a good thing or a bad thing?
Al Avila says, "yes "
Trade away all the Greene for a bag of rice
This post ia the definition of buried lede.
Edit: The Green/Greene thing would be spectacular if it happened.
Reminder because it doesn't come up often enough: the 96 team featured players named Gold, Irons, and Steele; Swett and Huff; Carr and Streets; Knight and Sword.
I always remember the announcers commenting on various combinations of those names.
After we beat Ohio, he will commit.
Winner gets G-W.
It seems our CB board looks like: Darion Green-Warren, Henry Gray, Malcolm Greene. Michigan is leading or top 2 for all of them so if we can land at least 2 of these recruits, we should be good for CB recruiting for this cycle.
In addition, much of Michigan's consternation about the state of our corners is because there is very little proven depth behind of Lavert Hill. If Vincent Gray is legit and JKP can step in in a Brandon Watson type role, Michigan will have a solid 4 players once Ambry comes back. And the staff is high on Gemon Green, Jalen Perry, and DJ Turner. So there's definitely a lot of questions opposite of Hill, but the talent and potential is also there.
Very well laid out right here!
I really respect what Brandon Watson achieved at Michigan, so it makes me really sad to say this. But let’s not ever have a reprise of the Brandon Watson role...and there goes another crossing route by OSU.
Agreed. 2020 is full of 3.5 stars meaning OSU will easily out talent us yet again.
Brandon Watson roles = punching above your weight = getting torched by OSU.
Wtf are you babbling about? Wake up and go back to sleep you numbskull.
Tyree couldn't keep up either, iirc. Then again, those receivers went on to burn up the combine, too. OSU's WR depth last year was exceptional. Michigan didn't have the depth to keep up. Can't hide matchups when you're always in press man. It's an easy pre-snap read. Simply didn't have a viable alternative. Couldn't trust zone.
That said, Vert, Ambry, and Dax will be a solid speed boost. Jordon Glasgow could be in for a big year, too. D is gonna be nasty.
I would venture to opine that Green-Warren and Greene are the preferred 2.
Henry Gray, I am not totally sold on. Seems he may be falling down other schools' board? What's the latest on him?
Hill will for sure be gone and if Ambry plays well he is draft eligible after this year. We need to hit on some recruits that can play day at DB and the that is the problem. We need high level guys in this class.
The secondary has a lot of green to cover, hopefully UofM will get all the Greenes to lock it down ......and make it an impossible Hill to climb;)
Green light!
Crap.
Huh. This gives me a hunch that the result of the OSU game might be important. Just a hunch.
It's Green-wait for it-dary!
Is he a genetic hybrid of Derrick Green and Donovan Warren? Nothing like reminiscing about flamed out 5 star recruits?
I wouldn’t call Donovan Warren a flame out 5*. He just made a decision with an unfortunate outcome.
As long as offenses don’t see a lot green in front of them because a lot of Greens are staying in front of them, okay.
When an opposing player sees a lot of green in front of them it gonna be a bunch of blue all up in their grill.
