Countdown to Kickoff - 23 Days Left
Todays video features Martavious Odoms, the all time record holder for receptions in a freshman year.
Best quote: "Are you looking for another shot for them [Notre Dame] this year?" "Sorta, they on the schedule aren't they?"

Tay Odoms is my favorite current player but I would still rather see Matthews catch punts and take a knee than muff, muff, muff, TD, muff from Odoms again.

Well, I wouldn't want that from Odoms, but I can think of a few people I'd want to see that from... HEY-O!

IN that case, you're looking at Muff, Muff, Muff, VD, Muff.
ZING!

Gotchya Bitch!
If you're included its probably more like: Muff, Muff, ED, Muff
Man I didn't realize how many ways we could go with this.

At least three, evidently.

and say that he won't have the fumbling problems he did last year, simply due to the fact that he won't be playing 70-80 offensive snaps a game as the only true slot receiver on the roster. He's got Roundtree, T-Rob, Gallon and Grady to rotate with him, which will make him fresher on every play he's in there, helping his concentration.
Remember, he was a true freshman last year, and was the only option. Keep that TD against Purdue in your minds, the special teams will be improved this year (from catching, to blocking on returns), and because of that the returners will have much better years.

I hope you're right. Kid can move once he gets the handle.

- Tay was a freshman
- Tay was not used to the cold weather.
He will be fine. I actually expect him to have a breakout year (as if last year was not). I think he has all-american potential.

If odoms has probems securing punts there are a stable of guys behind him to pick up the position. I truly think that he is extreamly elusive and will have the spot to lose on Sep 5. I will also be interested to see Gallon back there a few times. I really think that he can be special with the ball in his hands.

Did Rod Smith get that black eye in a rap battle with the Conner?
August 13th, 2009 at 9:16 AM ^
Not quite. Eye surgery I believe.

It was eye surgery, however, the rap battle story could draw in recruits.

I think this guy has a lot of potential and now that he is used to the cold weather we should hopefully see his fumbling issues get resolved.

I loved the Notre Dame quote. Odoms seems like a good guy, I'm hoping he can have another solid year and give us a viable return man.
