Let’s get HYPED!!!! Personally, as much as I want to get hyped, I am in total and complete “Emotional Protection” mode. Saturday is gonna be stressful to watch. Thank goodness for bourbon.

This is my usual MO. Hate to waste a good hunting November Saturday.
HOWEVER, last year my son came over and we watched it in real time and I'm concerned that if we were to lose it would be because I let everyone down by going back to my old ways.

XM, that sounds like a great plan. Just got invited to the Wake Forest Basketball game tomorrow (I live in Winston Salem, NC). I think I’m going to go and just check the scores from the game. Feel free to call me a lesser fan. I can’t emotionally take it. LOL

There is no way I am going to watch The Game in real time. Did not do so last year and that worked out quite well for us.
Watched last year's game yet again last night. Hurdled the fools; OH JA BO; Hutch gets to 13; Josh Ross crushes in the backfield; Haskins untouched into the end zone.
Son and spouse will watch the game and then let me know if I should watch the recording on Hulu (skipping ads and halftime talking heads dressed way too young for their ages). This viewing practice is *much better* for my physical and emotional well being.
Old guys are very smart. Yep, we are. And. That's the plan. 👍👍

I will watch live - it is amazing to me that multiple people taking time on a Friday morning to watch a hype video about The Game won’t be watching it live! I look at it as the opportunity to make more unbelievable memories, or another chance to build character. Watching Michigan football has brought me so much joy for about 30 years, and the losses are a part of the joy in the journey. I love being the underdog here - let’s shock the world again!

Totally agree brother. Nothing compares to Michigan making a huge play in a high leverage spot. That high is like a drug that keeps on giving when I rewatch highlights the rest of my life. I don’t understand how people don’t watch Michigan games live; when I rewatch highlights of games I didn’t watch live, it doesn’t hit nearly as good. The lows are part of that ride. Fuck BPONE, we ended it last year. Fuck Ohio. GO BLUE.

As a UM student I watched Michigan lose to OSU in 1970, 1972, 1973 (tie was really a loss), 1974, 1975, and 1979.
That was enough “character building” to last me a lifetime.

Feel that 100%. 2011 & 2021 are the only 2 UM wins I’ve seen since becoming a fan when I was 10 years old. Including 0-4 while I was a student. I’m getting win #3 tomorrow. Fuck the bucks.

I’m also surprised so many say they won’t be watching. It sounds like there’s a lot of Michigan fan PTSD and they’re having a hard time convincing themselves last year wasn’t a fluke. It wasn’t.

last year was most definitely not a fluke,
however, we don't have the DE's from hell, all, haskins, a QB that is as solid passing, and likely will only have a 75% (at best) corum. big, big changes and none of them good.
oh yeah, we also have to play in the toilet bowl with all that entails.

Watching 1999 The Game - “Michigan Classic” on BTN, recorded from last night. Tom Brady looked very much like… JJ, except a much slower runner. Lots of short completions and missed badly on the long throws. Michigan won - hope the same with JJ at the helm tomorrow!!
