Arkansas wasn't eligible to be in the BCS since there were already 2 SEC teams picked.

They definitely would have torched the Michigan secondary.  But their defense is not nearly as good as Virginia Tech's defense.  So it would hopefully still have been a competitive game.

Kansas State is going to show up for this one, Arkansas is just way better. 

This is K-State's biggest game in a long time.

I would say 6 vs. 8 is a pretty nice matchup. I know you mean it's not name programs but just looking at the ranks makes it look like a BCS game. Hate to bring it up but both teams are higher ranked then Mich, VTech, WVU, or Clemson.

I agree. Robot sucks but I loved the entrances, bands, etc. They do a much better job of showing the atmosphere than ESPN, IMO.

Look for the BCS to disappear in its current form in a couple of years. The old bowl tie-ins are going to reextend to every game except the title game. The AQ conferences don't want to deal with the headaches anymore.

That's what is probably going to happen.There's no reason for the BCS to organize all of these games for the conferences when it opens the big conferences up to challenges from lower tier conferences when it can just organize a national title game instead.

...the first time in a few bowls there has been great play in the backfield from a team. 

That being said, Arkansas tries to kamikaze its way to a first  down and fails.

I'm pulling for KSU, but Arkansas is just too good; better than Oklahoma, who wrecked KSU. Not saying that Arkansas will necessarily destroy KSU, but SEC tends to dominate of late.

Lots of defense being played on both sides - something is amiss among the bowl gods, I think. 

EDIT: Just like that, 10-0 Arkansas. Rather poorly defended kick return goes for a TD. If nothing else, we're in the 2nd quarter  before the first special teams gaffe - that's better than most bowls to date this season.
