Congratulations to Women's Rowing - 2nd in NCAA's
The U-M Women's Rowing team finished 2nd overall in the NCAA today in New Jersey:

The 2nd Varsity 8 took first place - the best part was beating 2nd place Ohio St.! The 1st varsity 8 took 2nd place behind Virginia. A tremendous job by the women rowers! Go Blue!
...3.37s behind UVA. If they had been able to win, they would have taken the championship. This ties for Michigan's highest team finish in program history (also took 2nd in 2001).
My daughter, a recent UVA grad gets bragging rights over me today, unfortunately.
Michigan took an early lead, but UVA's strong, steady stroke enabled them to pass U-M in the 2nd half of the race. My daughter (a recent U-M graduate) rowed in high school with 2 of the women in Michigan's 1st varsity 8, so she is REALLY excited about today's finish.
