Seeing that counter does piss me off, but I have respect for the the local Columbus newspaper actually doing things to promote the local team. All of our local papers (Ann Arbor News included) are more interested in tearing down local teams.

I would settle for objectivity from the press in Michigan. I have often wondered which is worse: a sycophant press or an iconoclastic one. I would settle for Columbus-style sycophants over the gross bias that the Michigan media have shown toward MSU the last few years, but I really do prefer objectivity from the press.
I miss the days when newspapers reported news instead of trying to create it.

I left newspapers, had two children, went back to school for my masters and and have been teaching for the better part of three years. When I think of it that way, It's a long frickin' time.

and that is sad... since we had their number for so long under Coop.
I think we are on our way to becoming good again but my god is this painful and having to sit there and take smack talk from fans from OSU, PSU and Lil Bro is getting pretty old.
Since i'm in my Twenty's and have only known success from my school I guess I can deal with a couple down years, but for the older generation I can't image what this must feel like for them. So I understand when the old school fan and Alumni are calling for Rich Rod to be fired.
I also understand that college football has changed and we(Michigan) didn't get the message until the App St game and if this what it takes to win again I can deal with it ...but not for much longer!
